MLV(i)
Now on the first day of the week, from the deep fog of daybreak, they and some others together with them came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.
Now they found the stone has been rolled away from the tomb.
And having entered in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
And it happened, while they are perplexed concerning this, behold, two men stood by them in flashing white apparel.
Now when they became fearful and bowed their faces down toward the earth, then they said to them, Why are you seeking the living with the dead?
He is not here, but was raised. Remember how he spoke to you, being still in Galilee,
saying that it is essential for the Son of Man to be given up into the hands of sinful men and to be crucified and to rise up in the third day?
And they were reminded of his declarations.
And having returned from the tomb, they reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. 10 Now those who were saying these things to the apostles were: Mary the Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the rest of the women together with them. 11 And their declarations appeared like nonsense in their sight, and they were disbelieving them. 12 But Peter, having stood up, ran to the tomb, and stooped down and peered in. He sees the linen-strips laying alone, and he went away to his home, marveling at what has happened.
