Matthew 9:2-8

MLV(i) 2 And behold, they were bringing a paralytic to him, having been put upon a cot, and Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, Child, have courage; your sins have been forgiven to you.
3 And behold, some of the scribes said among themselves, This one is blaspheming.
4 And Jesus, having seen their contemplations said, Why are you contemplating evil in your hearts? 5 For what is easier, to say, Your sins have been forgiven; or to say, Arise and walk? 6 But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority upon the earth to forgive sins (then he says to the paralytic), While you are arising, lift up your cot and go away to your house. 7 And having arisen, he went away to his house. 8 Now when the crowds saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
