John 4:7-10

MNT(i) 7 It was about noon, and a woman of Samaria came to draw water. 8 Jesus said to her, "Give me a drink" (for his disciples were gone away into the city to buy food.) 9 "How is it," answered the Samaritan woman, "that you who are a Jew ask a drink from me, a woman, and a Samaritan?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) 10 "If you had known the free gift of God," Jesus answered, "and who it is that says to you, 'Give me a drink,' you would have asked of him, and he would have given you living water."
