2 Kings 13:4-7 But Jehoahaz besought the LORD, and the LORD heard him. For he had seen the oppression of Israel, how the king of Syria oppressed them.

For he had seen the oppression of Israel, how the king of Syria oppressed them. ⁵ And therefore the LORD gave Israel a deliverer and they went out from under the hands of the Syrians. And the children of Israel dwelt in their tents as before time. ⁶ Nevertheless they departed not from the sin of the house of Jeroboam which made Israel sin, but walked therein. And there remained a grove also in Samaria still: ⁷ But there were left of the people, to Jehoahaz, but fifty horsemen and ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen — for the king of Syria had destroyed them and made them like threshed chaff.
