Genesis 38:28-30

MSTC^{(i) 28} And as she travailed, the one put out his hand and the midwife took and bound a red thread about it, saying, "This will come out first." ²⁹ But he plucked his hand back again, and his brother came out. And she said, "Wherefore hast thou rent a rent upon thee?" And called him Perez. ³⁰ And afterward came out his brother that had the red thread about his hand, which was called Zerah.
