11 they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word to which they gave testimony; for their lives they expos'd to the last.
12 therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. WO to the land, and to the sea: for the devil is come down unto you, in great rage, because he knows that his time is but short."
13 The dragon then finding that he was precipitated to the earth, persecuted the woman, who brought forth the man-child.
14 but to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to her place, where she is to be maintain'd for a time, and times, and half a time.
15 and the serpent spouted from his throat a flood of water, after the woman, in order to drown her with the flood.
16 but the earth helped the woman, for the earth opened its jaws, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon threw out of his throat,
17 which so enrag'd the dragon against the woman, that he went to make war with the rest of her race, who keep the commandments of God, and bear testimony to Jesus.
