Leviticus 16:18-34

Matthew(i) 18 Then he shall goo out vnto the alter that stondeth before the Lord, and reconcyle it, and shall take of the bloud of the bullock & of the bloude of the goote, & put it vpon the hornes of the altare rounde about, 19 and sprynkle of the bloude vpon it wt hys fynger seuen tymes, and clense it, and halowe it from the vnclennesses of the chyldren of Israell. 20 And when he hath made an ende of reconcylyng the holy place & the tabernacle of witnesse & the alter, let him brynge the lyue goot 21 and let Aaron put both hys handes vpon the heede of the lyue goote, & confesse ouer hym all the mysdeades of the chyldren of Israell, and their trespaces, and al theyr synnes: and let hym put them vpon the heed of the goote & sende him away by the handes of one that is anoynted in the wildernes. 22 And the goote shal bere vpon him all their mysdeades vnto the wyldernesse, and he shal let the goote go fre in the wyldernesse. 23 And let Aaron goo into the tabernacle of wytnesse & put of the lynen clothes which he put on when he went in into the holy place, & leaue them there. 24 And let hym wasshe hys flesh with water in the holy place, & put on hys owne rayment, & then come out and offer his burntofferynge and the burntoffryng of the people, and make an attonement for hym selfe and for the people, 25 and the fatt of the synneofferynge let hym burne vpon the alter. 26 And let hym that caryed forth the scapegoote, wasshe hys clothes and bathe hys flesh in water, and then come into the hoste agayne. 27 And the bullock of the synofferyng & the goote of the synofferyng (whose bloud was brought in to make an attonement in the holy place) let one carye out wythout the hoste & burne wyth fyre: both theyr skynnes, theyr flesh and their donge. 28 And let him that burneth them, wasshe hys clothes and bathe his flesh in water, & then come in to the hoste agayn. 29 And this shalbe an ordynaunce for euer vnto you. And euen in the tenth day of the seuenth moneth, ye shall humble youre soules and shall do no worke at all: whether it be one of youre selues or a straunger that soiourneth among you, 30 for the daye shal an attonement be made for you to clense you from all your synnes before the lord, and ye shal be cleane. 31 It shalbe a Sabboth of rest vnto you, and ye shal humble your soules, and it shalbe an ordynaunce foreuer. 32 And the preast that is anoynted & whose hande was fylled to mynistre in hys fathers steade, shal make the attonement & shall put on the holy lynnen clothes and holy vestimentes, 33 and reconcyle the holy sanctuary and the tabernacle of wytnesse and the alter, & shall make an attonement also for the preastes and for al the people of the congregacion. 34 And thys shalbe an euerlastyng ordynaunce vnto you to make an attonement for the chyldren of Israel for al their synnes once a yere: and it was done euen as the Lord commaunded Moses.
