Psalms 52

NSB(i) 1 ([Psalm of David]) Why do you brag about the evil you have done, O mighty man? The loving kindness of God endures continually! 2 Your tongue makes up wickedness. It is like a sharp razor, you master of deceit. 3 You prefer evil to good. You prefer lying to speaking the truth. 4 You love words that devour, O deceitful tongue. 5 God will destroy you forever. He will remove you from your dwelling place from out of the land of the living. 6 The righteous also sees, and fears, and laughs at him. They say: 7 Here is the man who did not make God his strength (refuge) (stronghold). He trusted in the abundance of his riches. He strengthened himself in his wickedness. 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy and loving kindness of God forever and ever. 9 I will thank you forever for what you have done. I will wait in your name, for it is good, in the presence of your holy (God-like) ones.
