His chains fell off his hands. ⁸ The angel said to him, "Put on your belt and your sandals." Peter did so. The angel said to him, "Throw your cloak around you and follow me." ⁹ Peter came out and followed along, not knowing whether what the angel was doing was real. He thought he was seeing a vision. ¹⁰ After passing the first guard and the second, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city. This opened for them of its own accord and they went out and went along one street. Then suddenly the angel left him.
