Riverside⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹¹ Therefore remember that once you were Gentiles in the flesh and were called uncircumcision by the so-called circumcision in the flesh, made by hands, ¹² and that you were then apart from Christ, aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world. ¹³ But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far have become near by the blood of Christ. ¹⁴ For he is our peace. He has made both Jew and Gentile one and has broken down the dividing wall, the enmity. ¹⁵ In his own flesh he has ended the force of the law of commandments in ordinances in order to make the two, in himself, into one new man, thus making peace, ¹⁶ and in order to reconcile both in one body to God through his cross, by slaying the enmity by it.
