Christ [Jesus] who died?––Nay! rather was raised [from among the dead], ––who is on the right hand of God, who also is making intercession in our behalf? ³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of the Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?–– ³⁶ According as it is written––For thy sake, are we being put to death all the day long, we have been reckoned as sheep for slaughter.–– ³⁷ Nay, in all these things, we are more than conquering through him that hath loved us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded that––neither death nor life, nor messengers nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, ³⁹ Nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
