Mark 14:3-9

TKJU(i) 3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at a meal, there came a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment of spikenard; and she broke the box, and poured it on His head.spikenard; the oil of balsam obtained from a plant of the genus Nardus. 4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, "Why was this waste of the fragrant ointment made? 5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred silver coins, and have been given to the poor." And they murmured against her. 6 And Jesus said, "Leave her alone; why do you trouble her? She has done a good work on Me. 7 For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you choose you may do them good: But Me you do not always have. 8 She has done what she could: She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial. 9 Truly I say to you, Wherever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this which she has done shall also be spoken of for a memorial of her."
