And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: And a third of the trees were burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.
Then the second angel sounded, and with all speed a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: And one third of the sea became blood;
and a third of the creatures in the sea which had life died; and a third of the ships were destroyed.
Then the third angel sounded, and a large star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell upon a third of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
and the name of the star is called Wormwood: And a third of the waters became wormwood; and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter.
Then the fourth angel sounded, and a third of the sun was smitten, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars; so that a third of them were darkened, and the day did not shine for a third of it, and likewise the night.
