John 16:23-27 Now in that day you will not ask me any thing. Verily, verily, I say to you, whatever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he will give you.

Verily, verily, I say to you, whatever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he will give you. ²⁴ Hitherto you have asked nothing in my name. Ask and ye shall receive, that your joy may be complete. ²⁵ These things I have spoken to you in parables. But a time is coming when I will no more speak to you in parables, but with plainness of speech tell you respecting the Father. ²⁶ In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father for you; ²⁷ for the Father himself loveth you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.
