Thomson⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁶ It happened also on another sabbath, when he went to the synagogue and taught, that there was a man there, whose right hand was withered. ⁷ And the Scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would perform a cure on the sabbath day, that they might find matter of accusation against him. ⁸ Now he knew their thoughts. Therefore when he had said to the man who had the withered hand, Rise and stand in the midst; and he had risen, and was standing there; ⁹ Jesus said to them, Let me ask you what is allowable on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy"? ¹⁰ Then having looked around on them all, he said to the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so. And his hand was restored sound as the other. ¹¹ Upon this they were filled with madness, and spoke one to another what they should do to Jesus.
