37 behold a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was at table in the Pharisee's house, took an alabaster bottle of myrrh,
38 and standing behind, at his feet, weeping, she first bathed his feet with her tears, and wiped them with the tresses of her hair. Then she kissed his feet and anointed them with the myrrh.
39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said within himself, if this man were a prophet, he would know what sort of a woman this is, who toucheth him; that she is a sinner.
