She hath done a good work for me. ⁷ For you have the poor always with you and can, when you please, do them good; but me you have not always. ⁸ She hath done what she could. She hath come beforehand to anoint my body for its embalment. ⁹ Verily I say to you, In whatever quarter of the world these glad tidings are proclaimed, what this woman hath done will be mentioned to her honour.
