For he built high places in the cities of Judah, and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit harlotry, and led Judah astray.
And a writing came to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, So says the LORD, the God of your father David, Because you have not walked in the ways of your father Jehoshaphat, and in the ways of Asa the king of Judah,
but have walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and have made Judah and the people of Jerusalem to go lusting like the fornications of the house of Ahab, and also have killed your brothers of your fathers house ( who were better than you),
Look what's going to happen! The LORD is going to strike your people, your children, your wives, and everything you own with a massive tragedy.
and thyself with sore sicknesses, with a disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.
And the LORD wakes up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, who [are] beside the Cushim,
And they came up against Judah and invaded it and carried away all the possessions found in the house of the king, and also his sons and his wives, so that no son was left to him except Jehoahaz his youngest son.
And besides all this the Lord struck him with an incurable disease in his bowels.
In process of time, at the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness, and he died of severe diseases. His people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.
Jehoram was 32 years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem for eight years. He left this earth to nobody's regret and they buried him in the city of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.
