2 Abram said, Sovereign LORD, what will you give me, since I go childless, and he who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?
3 And Abram said, You have given me no child, and a servant in my house will get the heritage.
4 Behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, This man will not be your heir, but he who will come out of your own body will be your heir.
5 And he brought him outside and said, "Look toward the heavens and count the stars if you are able to count them." And he said to him, "So shall your offspring be."
6 And he believed the LORD; and he reckoned it to him [as] righteousness.
