Joshua 7:19-26

VIN(i) 19 Joshua said to Achan: "My son, give glory to the LORD God of Israel and confess to him. Tell me now what you have done. Do not hide it from me." 20 Achan answered Joshua: "Indeed I have sinned against the LORD the God of Israel. This I have done. 21 When I saw among the plunder a beautiful Babylonian robe, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, then I coveted them and took them. Behold, they are hidden in the ground in the middle of my tent, with the silver under it.” 22 So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent. Behold, it was hidden in his tent, with the silver under it. 23 And they took them from the tent and brought them to Joshua and all the Israelites. And they spread them out before the presence of the LORD. 24 Then Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the bar of gold, his sons and daughters, his cattle and donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and everything that was his, and they brought them to the valley of Achor. 25 Joshua said: "Why have you troubled us? the LORD will trouble you this day." All Israel stoned them with stones. After they stoned them they burned them with fire. 26 And they cast upon him a great heap of stones that remaineth unto this day. And so the LORD turned from his fierce wrath. Wherefore the name of the place is called the valley of Achor unto this day.
