Psalms 17

VIN(i) 1 Hear, LORD, my righteous plea; Give ear to my prayer, that doesn't go out of deceitful lips. 2 Let my vindication come forth from you; let your eyes see fairness. 3 You have tried my heart; you have examined me by night; you have tested me; you found nothing. I have decided that my mouth will not transgress. 4 As for the deeds of men, by the word of your lips, I have kept myself from the ways of the violent. 5 My steps have held fast to your paths. My feet have not slipped. 6 I call upon you, for you will answer me, God. Listen closely to me and hear my prayer. 7 Show your marvelous loving kindness, O you who saves by your right hand those who take refuge from those who rise up. 8 Keep me as the apple of your eye. Hide me in the shadow of your wings 9 From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who surround me. 10 They close up their callous hearts. With their mouth they speak proudly. 11 They are casting me out now; they surrounded me; their eyes set to turn me to the ground. 12 They observed me, like a lion eager for prey, and like a young lion lurking in coverts. 13 Arise, O LORD, confront him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, by your sword: 14 from men by your hand, Yahweh, from men of the world, whose portion is in this life. You fill the belly of your cherished ones. Your sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children. 15 By contrast, I in righteousness shall see your face. Upon awakening I will be satisfied seeing your form.
