John 12:2-8

WPNT(i) 2 So they gave a dinner for Him there—Martha was serving, while Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him. 3 Then Mary, bringing a pound of pure oil of nard, very costly, anointed Jesus’ feet, and wiped His feet with her hair! And the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil. 4 Then one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son (who was about to betray Him), said, 5 “Why wasn’t this oil sold for 300 denarii and given to the poor?” 6 (Now he didn’t say this because the poor mattered to him, but because he was a thief and had the money-box; and used to pilfer what was put in it.) 7 So Jesus said: “Let her be; she has performed this with a view to my burial. 8 For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have me.”
