Luke 12:15-21

WPNT(i) 15 Then He said to all, “Keep alert and guard against covetousness, because one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” 16 Then He told them a parable, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man produced well. 17 And he reasoned within himself saying, ‘What shall I do, because I have no place to store my crops?’ 18 Then he said: ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my produce and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul: Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and enjoy yourself!’ 20 But God said to him: ‘Stupid! This very night your life is being taken back from you; then who will get the things you have prepared?’ 21 Just like that is he who accumulates treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”
