But know this, that in the last days grievous times will come.
For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, arrogant, proud, evil-speakers,
disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, Without natural affection, covenant-breakers, slanderers, intemperate, fierce, despisers of good men,
Traitors, rash, puffed up, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness but denying the power of it.
From these also turn away. For of these are they who creep into houses, and captivate silly women laden with sins, led away by various desires,
Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also withstand the truth: men of corrupt minds, void of judgment as to the faith.
But they shall proceed no farther; for their folly shall be manifest to all men, as theirs also was.
