2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.
3 But because he saw this attempt of his upon the faithful pleased the Jews, he proceeded further, to take Peteralso: Then were the days of unleavened bread.
4 When he had apprehended this man, he put him into prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep, intending after the Passover to bring him forth to the people.
5 Peter therefore was kept in prison; but great prayer was made with fervency of the church unto God for him.
