7 And the Spirit is He Who beareth witness, because the Spirit is the Truth:
8 because there are Three Who bear witness; the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the Three agree in one.
9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; because this is the testimony of God, that He hath testified concerning His Son.
10 He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself; he that believes not God has made Him a liar; because he has not believed in the testimony that God testified concerning His Son.
11 And this is the testimony, that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
12 He that has the Son has the life; he that has not the Son of God has not the life.
13 These things I wrote to you who believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye have eternal life.
14 And this is the confidence which we have toward Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us;
15 and, if we know that He heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we asked of Him.
16 If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those that sin not to death. There is a sin to death: I do not say that he shall make request concerning this.
17 All unrighteousness is sin; and there is a sin not to death.
18 We know that every one who has been begotten of God sins not; but he who was begotten of God keeps himself, and the evil one touches him not.
19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world is lying in the evil one.
20 And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us understanding, that we may know the True One: and we are in the True One—in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the True God, and eternal life.
21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols.
