Acts 27:41-44

Worrell(i) 41 But, falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and the prow, sticking fast, remained immovable, but the stern was being broken to pieces by the violence of the waves. 42 Now it was the plan of the soldiers to kill the prisoners, lest any one, swimming out, might escape. 43 But the centurion, wishing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and he commanded that those able to swim, throwing themselves first into the sea, should get out upon the land; 44 and the rest—some, indeed, on planks, and others on some of the things from the Ship. And so it came to pass that all escaped safe to land.
