Worrell(i)
I Say, then, did they stumble, that they might fall? It could not be! But by their trespass salvation has come to the gentiles to provoke them to rivalry.
Now, if their trespass is the riches of the world, and their loss the riches of the gentiles, how much more their fulness?
But I am speaking to you gentiles. Inasmuch, indeed, then, as I am an apostle of the gentiles, I glorify my ministry;
if by any means I may excite to rivalry my flesh, and save some of them.
For, if the casting away of them is the reconciling of the world, what will the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
And, if the first-fruit is holy, so also is the lump; and, if the root is holy, so also are the branches.
And, if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them, and became a joint-partaker of the root and of the fatness of the Olive tree;
boast not against the branches. But, if you boast, it is not you that bear the root; but the root, you.
You will say, then, "The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in."
