Mark 15:44 Cross References - ABU

44 And Pilate marveled, if he were already dead; and calling to him the centurion, he asked him if he had been long dead.

John 19:31-37

31 The Jews therefore, since it was the preparation, that the bodies might not remain upon the cross on the sabbath (for that sabbath day was a great day), besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and they be taken away. 32 The soldiers came, therefore, and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who was crucified with him. 33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was already dead, they broke not his legs. 34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith there came out blood and water. 35 And he that has seen has borne witness, and his witness is true, and he knows that he says what is true, that ye also might believe. 36 For these things came to pass, that the scripture might be fulfilled: A bone of him shall not be broken. 37 And again another scripture says: They shall look on him whom they pierced.
