¹ For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, having met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, also blessed him.

¹⁸ And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine. And he was priest of God Most High. ¹⁹ And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of God Most High, possessor of heaven and earth. ²⁰ And blessed be God Most High, who has delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And Abram gave him a tenth of all.

¹⁴ Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi. Behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered. ¹⁵ And Hagar bore Abram a son. And Abram called the name of his son, whom Hagar bore, Ishmael. ¹⁶ And Abram was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore Ishmael to Abram.

² I will cry to God Most High, to God who performs for me.

² In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling-place in Zion.

³⁵ And they remembered that God was their rock, and the Most High God their redeemer.

⁵⁶ Yet they challenged and rebelled against the Most High God, and kept not his testimonies,

² Who raised up the righteous man from the east, calls him to his foot, gives nations before him, and makes him rule over kings? He gives them as the dust to his sword, as the driven stubble to his bow. ³ He pursues them, and passes on safely, even by a way that he had not gone with his feet.

² It has seemed good to me to show the signs and wonders that the Most High God has wrought toward me.

¹⁸ O thou king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father the kingdom and greatness and glory and majesty.

²¹ and he was driven from the sons of men. And his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. He was fed with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, until he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and that he sets up over it whomever he will.

⁶ With what shall I come before LORD, and bow myself before the high God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?

⁷ And having cried out in a great voice, he said, What is with me and with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the Most High God? I adjure thee by God, do not torment me.

¹⁷ This woman having followed Paul and us was crying out, saying, These men are bondmen of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.

²⁰ where the forerunner, Jesus, entered for us, having become a high priest into the age according to the order of Melchizedek.
