²³ One dies in his full strength, being wholly at ease and quiet.

²² In the fullness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come on him. ²³ When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath on him, and shall rain it on him while he is eating.

¹⁷ For when he dies he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

⁴ For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. ⁵ They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

¹⁹ And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have much goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry. ²⁰ But God said to him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have provided? ²¹ So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
