³ How have you counceled him that has no wisdom? and how have you plentifully declared the thing as it is?

¹³ Is not my help in me? and is wisdom driven quite from me?

³ But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yes, who knows not such things as these?

⁵ O that you would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.

⁸ Have you heard the secret of God? and do you restrain wisdom to yourself? ⁹ What know you, that we know not? what understand you, which is not in us? ¹⁰ With us are both the gray headed and very aged men, much elder than your father.

¹⁰ But as for you all, do you return, and come now: for I cannot find one wise man among you.

¹¹ Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst you searched out what to say. ¹² Yes, I attended to you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words: ¹³ Lest you should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusts him down, not man.

³ My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.

³³ If not, listen to me: hold your peace, and I shall teach you wisdom.

² Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

¹ Hear this, all you people; give ear, all you inhabitants of the world: ² Both low and high, rich and poor, together. ³ My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding. ⁴ I will incline my ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying on the harp.

¹⁵ My mouth shall show forth your righteousness and your salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof. ¹⁶ I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of your righteousness, even of your only. ¹⁷ O God, you have taught me from my youth: and till now have I declared your wondrous works. ¹⁸ Now also when I am old and gray headed, O God, forsake me not; until I have showed your strength to this generation, and your power to every one that is to come.

⁶ Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. ⁷ For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. ⁸ All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing fraudulent or perverse in them. ⁹ They are all plain to him that understands, and right to them that find knowledge.

²⁰ And how I kept back nothing that was profitable to you, but have showed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house,

²⁷ For I have not shunned to declare to you all the counsel of God.
