¹⁴ What then shall I do when God rises up? and when he visits, what shall I answer him?

³² For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment.

² I will say to God, Do not condemn me; show me why you contend with me.

⁶ Arise, O LORD, in your anger, lift up yourself because of the rage of my enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that you have commanded.

¹² When he makes inquisition for blood, he remembers them: he forgets not the cry of the humble.

¹⁹ Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in your sight.

¹² Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up your hand: forget not the humble. ¹³ Why does the wicked scorn God? he has said in his heart, You will not require it. ¹⁴ You have seen it; for you behold mischief and spite, to requite it with your hand: the poor commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless. ¹⁵ Break you the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till you find none.

²¹ Shall not God search this out? for he knows the secrets of the heart.

⁹ When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

² And enter not into judgment with your servant: for in your sight shall no man living be justified.

³ And what will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will you flee for help? and where will you leave your glory?

⁷ The days of visitation are come, the days of recompense are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of your iniquity, and the great hatred.

⁴ The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of your watchmen and your visitation comes; now shall be their perplexity.

¹³ Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.

² And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashed, hands, they found fault.

¹⁹ Now we know that what things soever the law said, it said to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

¹³ For he shall have judgment without mercy, that has showed no mercy; and mercy rejoices against judgment.
