¹³ Yet these things thou didst hide in thy heart;
I know that this is with thee:

³⁹ See now that I, even I, am he,
And there is no god with me:
I kill, and I make alive;
I wound, and I heal;
And there is none that can deliver out of my hand.

⁹ On the left hand, when he doth work, but I cannot behold him;
He hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him.

¹³ But he is in one [mind], and who can turn him?
And what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.

⁶ for to every purpose there is a time and judgment; because the misery of man is great upon him: ⁷ for he knoweth not that which shall be; for who can tell him how it shall be?

⁷ I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil. I am Jehovah, that doeth all these things.

¹⁵ Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.

⁹ Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; [I am] God, and there is none like me; ¹⁰ declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not [yet] done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure; ¹¹ calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country; yea, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed, I will also do it.

³⁷ Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?

³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!
