⁸ in flaming fire, to take vengeance on those who know not God, and who obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ;

⁴¹ Then will he say to those on his left hand: Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men have loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

¹⁹ Then they said to him: Where is your Father? Jesus answered: You know neither me, nor my Father. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also.

⁷ And the word of God increased, and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem was greatly multiplied; and a great multitude of the priests became obedient to the faith.

⁵ through whom we have received grace and apostleship, in order to the obedience of faith among all nations, for the honor of his name,

²⁸ And as they refused to acknowledge God, God delivered them up to an undiscerning mind, to do detestable things;

⁷ to those who, by patient continuance in good works, seek for glory and honor and incorruptibility, eternal life: ⁸ but to those who are contentious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, anger and wrath,

¹⁶ Know you not, that to whom you present yourselves as servants to obey, his servants you are whom you obey, whether of sin that leads to death, or of obedience that leads to righteousness?

¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the gospel; for Isaiah says: Lord, who has believed our report?

¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, by word and deed, in order to make the Gentiles obedient,

²⁶ but is now made manifest, and through the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, made known among all nations for the obedience of faith,

³⁴ Awake, as you should, to soberness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.

⁵ overthrowing reasonings and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and leading captive every thought to the obedience of the Christ,

¹ Thoughtless Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ has been plainly set forth crucified?

⁸ But, then, because you knew not God, you were enslaved to those who, by nature, are not gods:

⁵ not in passionate desire, as the Gentiles do, who know not God;

³ how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation? which at first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard him;

⁹ and, having been made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation to all that obey him,

²⁷ but a certain fearful looking for of judgment, and a fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

³⁰ For we know him who has said, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord. And again, The Lord will judge his people.

⁸ By faith Abraham, when called to go out into a place that he should afterward receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

²⁹ for our God is a consuming fire.

² elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctification of the Spirit, in order to obedience, and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: grace be to you, and peace be multiplied.

⁶ as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: and you are her children, if you do good, and fear no dismay.

¹⁷ For the time has come that judgment must begin at the house of God; and if it begin first at us, what shall be the end of those who obey not the gospel of God?

⁷ But the heavens and the earth that now are, by the same word are kept in store, reserved for fire against the day of judgment, and perdition of ungodly men.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth, and the works that are on it, shall be burned up. ¹¹ Seeing, then, that all these things shall be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in all holy behavior, and godliness, ¹² looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, because of which coming the heavens shall dis solve in fire, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat.

¹⁰ and they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, Sovereign, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

¹⁶ and said to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: ¹⁷ for the great day of his wrath has come, and who is able to stand?

¹⁰ And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are: and they shall be tormented day and night from age to age.

¹⁴ And death and hades were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death. ¹⁵ And if any one was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

⁸ But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the detestable, and murderers and lewd persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
