⁵ καὶ (And) νῦν (now) δόξασόν (glorify) με (Me) σύ (You), Πάτερ (Father), παρὰ (with) σεαυτῷ (Yourself), τῇ (with the) δόξῃ (glory) ᾗ (that) εἶχον (I had) πρὸ (before) τοῦ (-) τὸν (the) κόσμον (world) εἶναι (existed), παρὰ (with) σοί (You).

³⁴ Τότε (Then) ἐρεῖ (will say) ὁ (the) Βασιλεὺς (King) τοῖς (to those) ἐκ (on) δεξιῶν (the right hand) αὐτοῦ (of Him), ‘Δεῦτε (Come), οἱ (those) εὐλογημένοι (being blessed) τοῦ (of the) Πατρός (Father) μου (of me), κληρονομήσατε (inherit) τὴν (the) ἡτοιμασμένην (having been prepared) ὑμῖν (for you) βασιλείαν (kingdom) ἀπὸ (from the) καταβολῆς (foundation) κόσμου (of the world).

¹ Ἐν (In the) ἀρχῇ (beginning) ἦν (was) ὁ (the) Λόγος (Word), καὶ (and) ὁ (the) Λόγος (Word) ἦν (was) πρὸς (with) τὸν (-) Θεόν (God), καὶ (and) Θεὸς (God) ἦν (was) ὁ (the) Λόγος (Word). ² Οὗτος (He) ἦν (was) ἐν (in the) ἀρχῇ (beginning) πρὸς (with) τὸν (-) Θεόν (God). ³ πάντα (All things) δι’ (through) αὐτοῦ (Him) ἐγένετο (came into being), καὶ (and) χωρὶς (without) αὐτοῦ (Him) ἐγένετο (came into being) οὐδὲ (not even) ἕν (one thing) ὃ (that) γέγονεν (has come into being).

¹⁸ Θεὸν (God) οὐδεὶς (no one) ἑώρακεν (has seen) πώποτε (ever yet); μονογενὴς (the only begotten) Θεὸς (God), ὁ (the One) ὢν (being) εἰς (in) τὸν (the) κόλπον (bosom) τοῦ (of the) Πατρὸς (Father), ἐκεῖνος (He) ἐξηγήσατο (has made Him known).

¹³ καὶ (And) οὐδεὶς (no one) ἀναβέβηκεν (has gone up) εἰς (into) τὸν (-) οὐρανὸν (heaven) εἰ (if) μὴ (not) ὁ (the One) ἐκ (out of) τοῦ (-) οὐρανοῦ (heaven) καταβάς (having come down), ὁ (the) Υἱὸς (Son) τοῦ (-) ἀνθρώπου (of Man).

⁵⁸ Εἶπεν (Said) αὐτοῖς (to them) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Ἀμὴν (Truly), ἀμὴν (truly), λέγω (I say) ὑμῖν (to you), πρὶν (before) Ἀβραὰμ (Abraham) γενέσθαι (was), ἐγὼ (I) εἰμί (am).”

³⁰ ἐγὼ (I) καὶ (and) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father) ἕν (one) ἐσμεν (are).”

⁹ Λέγει (Says) αὐτῷ (to him) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), “Τοσούτῳ* (So long) χρόνῳ* (a time) μεθ’ (with) ὑμῶν (you) εἰμι (am I), καὶ (and) οὐκ (not) ἔγνωκάς (you have known) με (Me), Φίλιππε (Philip)? ὁ (The one) ἑωρακὼς (having seen) ἐμὲ (Me) ἑώρακεν (has seen) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father); πῶς (how) σὺ (you) λέγεις (say), ‘Δεῖξον (Show) ἡμῖν (us) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father)?’

²⁴ Πάτερ* (Father), ὃ (those whom) δέδωκάς (You have given) μοι (Me), θέλω (I desire) ἵνα (that) ὅπου (where) εἰμὶ (am) ἐγὼ (I), κἀκεῖνοι (they also) ὦσιν (may be) μετ’ (with) ἐμοῦ (Me), ἵνα (that) θεωρῶσιν (they may behold) τὴν (-) δόξαν (glory) τὴν (-) ἐμὴν (My), ἣν (that) δέδωκάς (You gave) μοι (Me) ὅτι (because) ἠγάπησάς (You loved) με (Me) πρὸ (before) καταβολῆς (the foundation) κόσμου (of the world).

⁶ Ὃς (Who) ἐν (in) μορφῇ (the form) Θεοῦ (of God) ὑπάρχων (existing), οὐχ (not) ἁρπαγμὸν (something to be grasped) ἡγήσατο (considered) τὸ (-) εἶναι (to be) ἴσα (equal) Θεῷ (with God),

¹⁵ Ὅς (He) ἐστιν (is) εἰκὼν (the image) τοῦ (of the) Θεοῦ (God) τοῦ (-) ἀοράτου (invisible), πρωτότοκος (the firstborn) πάσης (over all) κτίσεως (creation), ¹⁶ ὅτι (because) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (Him) ἐκτίσθη (were created) τὰ (-) πάντα (all things) ἐν (in) τοῖς (the) οὐρανοῖς (heavens) καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (upon) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth), τὰ (the) ὁρατὰ (visible) καὶ (and) τὰ (the) ἀόρατα (invisible), εἴτε (whether) θρόνοι (thrones) εἴτε (or) κυριότητες (dominions) εἴτε (or) ἀρχαὶ (rulers) εἴτε (or) ἐξουσίαι (authorities); τὰ (-) πάντα (all things) δι’ (through) αὐτοῦ (Him) καὶ (and) εἰς (unto) αὐτὸν (Him) ἔκτισται (have been created). ¹⁷ Καὶ (And) αὐτός (He) ἐστιν (is) πρὸ (before) πάντων (all things), καὶ (and) τὰ (-) πάντα (all things) ἐν (in) αὐτῷ (Him) συνέστηκεν (hold together).

³ ὃς (who) ὢν (being) ἀπαύγασμα (the radiance) τῆς (of His) δόξης (glory) καὶ (and) χαρακτὴρ (the exact expression) τῆς (of the) ὑποστάσεως (substance) αὐτοῦ (of Him), φέρων (upholding) τε (then) τὰ (-) πάντα (all things) τῷ (by the) ῥήματι (word) τῆς (of the) δυνάμεως (power) ‹δι’› (through) αὐτοῦ (of Himself), καθαρισμὸν (the purification) τῶν (-) ἁμαρτιῶν (of sins) ποιησάμενος (having made), ἐκάθισεν (sat down) ἐν (at) δεξιᾷ (the right hand) τῆς (of the) Μεγαλωσύνης (Majesty) ἐν (on) ὑψηλοῖς (high).

¹⁰ Καί (And): “Σὺ (You) κατ’ (in) ἀρχάς (the beginning), Κύριε (Lord), τὴν (of the) γῆν (earth) ἐθεμελίωσας (laid the foundation), καὶ (and) ἔργα (works) τῶν (of the) χειρῶν (hands) σού (of You) εἰσιν (are) οἱ (the) οὐρανοί (heavens).

²⁰ προεγνωσμένου (having been foreknown) μὲν (indeed) πρὸ (before) καταβολῆς (the foundation) κόσμου (of the world), φανερωθέντος (having been revealed) δὲ (however) ἐπ’ (in) ἐσχάτου (the last) τῶν (-) χρόνων (times) δι’ (for the sake of) ὑμᾶς (you),

² καὶ (and) ἡ (the) ζωὴ (life) ἐφανερώθη (was made manifest), καὶ (and) ἑωράκαμεν (we have seen) καὶ (and) μαρτυροῦμεν (bear witness), καὶ (and) ἀπαγγέλλομεν (we proclaim) ὑμῖν (to you) τὴν (the) ζωὴν (life) τὴν (-) αἰώνιον (eternal) ἥτις (which) ἦν (was) πρὸς (with) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father) καὶ (and) ἐφανερώθη (was revealed) ἡμῖν (to us) —

²¹ Ὁ (The one) νικῶν (overcoming), δώσω (I will give) αὐτῷ (to him) καθίσαι (to sit) μετ’ (with) ἐμοῦ (Me) ἐν (on) τῷ (the) θρόνῳ (throne) μου (of Me), ὡς (as) κἀγὼ (I also) ἐνίκησα (overcame) καὶ (and) ἐκάθισα (sat down) μετὰ (with) τοῦ (the) Πατρός (Father) μου (of Me) ἐν (on) τῷ (the) θρόνῳ (throne) αὐτοῦ (of Him).

⁹ καὶ (And) ᾄδουσιν (they are singing) ᾠδὴν (a song) καινὴν (new), λέγοντες (saying), “Ἄξιος (Worthy) εἶ (are You) λαβεῖν (to take) τὸ (the) βιβλίον (scroll), καὶ (and) ἀνοῖξαι (to open) τὰς (the) σφραγῖδας (seals) αὐτοῦ (of it), ὅτι (because) ἐσφάγης (You were slain), καὶ (and) ἠγόρασας (You purchased) τῷ (-) Θεῷ (to God) ἐν (by) τῷ (the) αἵματί (blood) σου (of You), ἐκ (out of) πάσης (every) φυλῆς (tribe) καὶ (and) γλώσσης (tongue) καὶ (and) λαοῦ (people) καὶ (and) ἔθνους (nation), ¹⁰ καὶ (and) ἐποίησας (You have made) αὐτοὺς (them) τῷ (to the) Θεῷ (God) ἡμῶν (of us), βασιλείαν (a kingdom) καὶ (and) ἱερεῖς (priests); καὶ (and) βασιλεύσουσιν (they will reign) ἐπὶ (upon) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth).” ¹¹ Καὶ (And) εἶδον (I looked), καὶ (and) ἤκουσα (I heard) φωνὴν (the voice) ἀγγέλων (of angels) πολλῶν (many) κύκλῳ (around) τοῦ (the) θρόνου (throne), καὶ (and) τῶν (of the) ζῴων (living creatures), καὶ (and) τῶν (of the) πρεσβυτέρων (elders); καὶ (and) ἦν (was) ὁ (the) ἀριθμὸς (number) αὐτῶν (of them) μυριάδες (myriads) μυριάδων (of myriads) καὶ (and) χιλιάδες (thousands) χιλιάδων (of thousands), ¹² λέγοντες (saying) φωνῇ (in a voice) μεγάλῃ (loud): “Ἄξιόν* (Worthy) ἐστιν (is) τὸ (the) Ἀρνίον (Lamb) τὸ (-) ἐσφαγμένον (having been slain), λαβεῖν (to receive) τὴν (the) δύναμιν (power) καὶ (and) πλοῦτον (riches) καὶ (and) σοφίαν (wisdom) καὶ (and) ἰσχὺν (strength) καὶ (and) τιμὴν (honor) καὶ (and) δόξαν (glory) καὶ (and) εὐλογίαν (blessing)!” ¹³ Καὶ (And) πᾶν (every) κτίσμα (creature) ὃ (which) ἐν (in) τῷ (-) οὐρανῷ (heaven), καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (upon) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth), καὶ (and) ὑποκάτω (under) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth), καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) θαλάσσης (sea) 〈ἐστίν〉 (is), καὶ (and) τὰ (-) ἐν (in) αὐτοῖς (them) πάντα (everything), ἤκουσα (I heard) λέγοντας (saying): “Τῷ (To the One) καθημένῳ (sitting) ἐπὶ (on) τῷ (the) θρόνῳ (throne), καὶ (and) τῷ (to the) Ἀρνίῳ (Lamb), ἡ (-) εὐλογία (blessing) καὶ (and) ἡ (-) τιμὴ (honor) καὶ (and) ἡ (-) δόξα (glory) καὶ (and) τὸ (-) κράτος (might) εἰς (to) τοὺς (the) αἰῶνας (ages) τῶν (of the) αἰώνων (ages).” ¹⁴ Καὶ (And) τὰ (the) τέσσαρα (four) ζῷα (living creatures) ἔλεγον (kept saying), “Ἀμήν (Amen).” καὶ (And) οἱ (the) πρεσβύτεροι (elders) ἔπεσαν (fell down) καὶ (and) προσεκύνησαν (worshiped).

⁸ καὶ (And) προσκυνήσουσιν (will worship) αὐτὸν (it) πάντες (all) οἱ (-) κατοικοῦντες (dwelling) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth), οὗ (of whom) οὐ (not) γέγραπται (have been written) τὸ (the) ὄνομα (names) αὐτοῦ (of them) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) βιβλίῳ (book) τῆς (-) ζωῆς (of life) τοῦ (of the) Ἀρνίου (Lamb) τοῦ (-) ἐσφαγμένου (having been slain), ἀπὸ (from) καταβολῆς (the founding) κόσμου (of the world).
