¹⁸ λέγω (I say) γὰρ (for) ὑμῖν (to you), [ὅτι] (that) οὐ (no) μὴ (not) πίω (will I drink) ἀπὸ (from) τοῦ (-) νῦν (now) ἀπὸ (of) τοῦ (the) γενήματος (fruit) τῆς (of the) ἀμπέλου (vine), ἕως (until) οὗ (that) ἡ (the) βασιλεία (kingdom) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God) ἔλθῃ (shall come).”

¹⁸ κἀγὼ (I also) δέ (now) σοι (to you) λέγω (say) ὅτι (that) σὺ (you) εἶ (are) Πέτρος (Peter), καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (on) ταύτῃ (this) τῇ (the) πέτρᾳ (rock) οἰκοδομήσω (I will build) μου (My) τὴν (-) ἐκκλησίαν (church), καὶ (and) πύλαι (the gates) ᾅδου (of hades) οὐ (not) κατισχύσουσιν (will prevail against) αὐτῆς (it).

²⁹ λέγω (I say) δὲ (now) ὑμῖν (to you), οὐ (no) μὴ (not) πίω (will I drink), ἀπ’ (from) ἄρτι (now), ἐκ (of) τούτου (this) τοῦ (the) γενήματος (fruit) τῆς (of the) ἀμπέλου (vine), ἕως (until) τῆς (the) ἡμέρας (day) ἐκείνης (that), ὅταν (when) αὐτὸ (it) πίνω (I drink) μεθ’ (with) ὑμῶν (you) καινὸν (anew) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) βασιλείᾳ (kingdom) τοῦ (of the) Πατρός (Father) μου (of Me).”

¹ Καὶ (And) ἔλεγεν (He was saying) αὐτοῖς (to them), “Ἀμὴν (Truly) λέγω (I say) ὑμῖν (to you) ὅτι (that) εἰσίν (there are) τινες (some) ὧδε (here) τῶν (of those) ἑστηκότων (standing), οἵτινες (who) οὐ (no) μὴ (not) γεύσωνται (shall taste) θανάτου (of death), ἕως (until) ἂν (-) ἴδωσιν (they see) τὴν (the) βασιλείαν (kingdom) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God) ἐληλυθυῖαν (having come) ἐν (with) δυνάμει (power).”

²³ Καὶ (And) λαβὼν (having taken) ποτήριον (the cup), εὐχαριστήσας (having given thanks), ἔδωκεν (He gave it) αὐτοῖς (to them), καὶ (and) ἔπιον (they drank) ἐξ (of) αὐτοῦ (it) πάντες (all).

²⁵ ἀμὴν (Truly) λέγω (I say) ὑμῖν (to you) ὅτι (that) οὐκέτι (no more) οὐ (never) μὴ (not) πίω (will I drink) ἐκ (of) τοῦ (the) γενήματος (fruit) τῆς (of the) ἀμπέλου (vine), ἕως (until) τῆς (the) ἡμέρας (day) ἐκείνης (that) ὅταν (when) αὐτὸ (it) πίνω (I drink) καινὸν (anew) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) βασιλείᾳ (kingdom) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God).”

²³ καὶ (And) ἐδίδουν (they were offering) αὐτῷ (Him), ἐσμυρνισμένον (having been mixed with myrrh), οἶνον (wine); ὃς (He) δὲ (however) οὐκ (not) ἔλαβεν (did take it).

²⁷ λέγω (I say) δὲ (now) ὑμῖν (to you) ἀληθῶς (truthfully), εἰσίν (there are) τινες (some) τῶν (of those) αὐτοῦ (here) ἑστηκότων (standing), οἳ (who) οὐ (no) μὴ (not) γεύσωνται (shall taste) θανάτου (of death) ἕως (until) ἂν (-) ἴδωσιν (they shall have seen) τὴν (the) βασιλείαν (kingdom) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God).”

³¹ οὕτως (So) καὶ (also) ὑμεῖς (you), ὅταν (when) ἴδητε (you see) ταῦτα (these things) γινόμενα (coming to pass), γινώσκετε (know) ὅτι (that) ἐγγύς (near) ἐστιν (is) ἡ (the) βασιλεία (kingdom) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God).

¹⁶ λέγω (I say) γὰρ (for) ὑμῖν (to you) ὅτι (that) 〈οὐκέτι〉 (no longer) οὐ (never) μὴ (not) φάγω (will I eat) αὐτὸ (thereof), ἕως (until) ὅτου (when) πληρωθῇ (it is fulfilled) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) βασιλείᾳ (kingdom) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God).”

³⁰ προφήτης (A prophet) οὖν (therefore) ὑπάρχων (being), καὶ (and) εἰδὼς (knowing) ὅτι (that) ὅρκῳ (with an oath) ὤμοσεν (swore) αὐτῷ (to him) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) ἐκ (out of the) καρποῦ (fruit) τῆς (of the) ὀσφύος (loins) αὐτοῦ (of him) καθίσαι (to set) ἐπὶ (upon) τὸν (the) θρόνον (throne) αὐτοῦ (of him). ³¹ προϊδὼν (Having foreseen), ἐλάλησεν (he spoke) περὶ (concerning) τῆς (the) ἀναστάσεως (resurrection) τοῦ (of the) Χριστοῦ (Christ), ὅτι (that) οὔτε (neither) ἐνκατελείφθη (was He abandoned) εἰς (into) ᾅδην (Hades), οὔτε (nor) ἡ (the) σὰρξ (flesh) αὐτοῦ (of Him) εἶδεν (saw) διαφθοράν (decay). ³² Τοῦτον (This) τὸν (-) Ἰησοῦν (Jesus) ἀνέστησεν (has raised up) ὁ (-) Θεός (God), οὗ (whereof) πάντες (all) ἡμεῖς (we) ἐσμεν (are) μάρτυρες (witnesses). ³³ τῇ (To the) δεξιᾷ (right hand) οὖν (therefore) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God) ὑψωθεὶς (having been exalted), τήν (-) τε (and) ἐπαγγελίαν (the promise) τοῦ (of the) Πνεύματος (Spirit) τοῦ (-) Ἁγίου (Holy) λαβὼν (having received) παρὰ (from) τοῦ (the) Πατρὸς (Father), ἐξέχεεν (He has poured out) τοῦτο (this) ὃ (which) ὑμεῖς (you) καὶ (both) βλέπετε (are seeing) καὶ (and) ἀκούετε (hearing). ³⁴ Οὐ (Not) γὰρ (for) Δαυὶδ (David) ἀνέβη (ascended) εἰς (into) τοὺς (the) οὐρανούς (heavens); λέγει (he says) δὲ (however) αὐτός (himself): ‘Εἶπεν (Said) ‹ὁ› (the) Κύριος (Lord) τῷ (to) Κυρίῳ (the Lord) μου (of me), Κάθου (Sit) ἐκ (at) δεξιῶν (the right hand) μου (of Me), ³⁵ ἕως (until) ἂν (-) θῶ (I place) τοὺς (the) ἐχθρούς (enemies) σου (of You), ὑποπόδιον (a footstool) τῶν (of the) ποδῶν (feet) σου (of You).’ ³⁶ Ἀσφαλῶς (Assuredly) οὖν (therefore) γινωσκέτω (let know) πᾶς (all) οἶκος (the house) Ἰσραὴλ (of Israel) ὅτι (that) καὶ (both) Κύριον (Lord) αὐτὸν (Him) καὶ (and) Χριστὸν (Christ) ἐποίησεν (has made) ὁ (-) Θεός (God) — τοῦτον (this) τὸν (-) Ἰησοῦν (Jesus) ὃν (whom) ὑμεῖς (you) ἐσταυρώσατε (crucified).”

¹⁸ καὶ (And) μὴ (not) μεθύσκεσθε (to be drunk) οἴνῳ (with wine), ἐν (in) ᾧ (which) ἐστιν (is) ἀσωτία (debauchery). ἀλλὰ (Instead) πληροῦσθε (be filled) ἐν (with) Πνεύματι (the Spirit), ¹⁹ λαλοῦντες (speaking) ἑαυτοῖς (to each other) [ἐν] (in) ψαλμοῖς (psalms) καὶ (and) ὕμνοις (hymns) καὶ (and) ᾠδαῖς (songs) πνευματικαῖς (spiritual), ᾄδοντες (singing) καὶ (and) ψάλλοντες (making melody) τῇ (in the) καρδίᾳ (heart) ὑμῶν (of you) τῷ (to the) Κυρίῳ (Lord),

¹³ ὃς (who) ἐρρύσατο (has delivered) ἡμᾶς (us) ἐκ (from) τῆς (the) ἐξουσίας (dominion) τοῦ (-) σκότους (of darkness) καὶ (and) μετέστησεν (transferred us) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) βασιλείαν (kingdom) τοῦ (of the) Υἱοῦ (Son) τῆς (-) ἀγάπης (beloved) αὐτοῦ (of Him),
