²³ Καὶ (And) εὐθὺς (immediately) ἦν (there was) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) συναγωγῇ (synagogue) αὐτῶν (of them) ἄνθρωπος (a man) ἐν (with) πνεύματι (a spirit) ἀκαθάρτῳ (unclean), καὶ (and) ἀνέκραξεν (he cried out),

⁴³ Ὅταν (When) δὲ (now) τὸ (the) ἀκάθαρτον (unclean) πνεῦμα (spirit) ἐξέλθῃ (is gone out) ἀπὸ (from) τοῦ (the) ἀνθρώπου (man), διέρχεται (it passes) δι’ (through) ἀνύδρων (waterless) τόπων (places) ζητοῦν (seeking) ἀνάπαυσιν (rest), καὶ (and) οὐχ (none) εὑρίσκει (finds it).

³⁴ καὶ (And) ἐθεράπευσεν (He healed) πολλοὺς (many) κακῶς (sick) ἔχοντας (being) ποικίλαις (of various) νόσοις (diseases), καὶ (and) δαιμόνια (demons) πολλὰ (many) ἐξέβαλεν (He cast out). καὶ (And) οὐκ (not) ἤφιεν (He would allow) λαλεῖν (to speak) τὰ (the) δαιμόνια (demons), ὅτι (because) ᾔδεισαν (they knew) αὐτόν (Him).

² καὶ (And) ἐξελθόντος (having gone forth) αὐτοῦ (of Him) ἐκ (out of) τοῦ (the) πλοίου (boat), εὐθὺς (immediately) ὑπήντησεν (met) αὐτῷ (Him) ἐκ (out of) τῶν (the) μνημείων (tombs) ἄνθρωπος (a man) ἐν (with) πνεύματι (a spirit) ἀκαθάρτῳ (unclean),

²⁵ ἀλλ’ (But) εὐθὺς (immediately) ἀκούσασα (having heard) γυνὴ (a woman) περὶ (about) αὐτοῦ (Him), ἧς (of whom) εἶχεν (had) τὸ (the) θυγάτριον (little daughter) αὐτῆς (of her) πνεῦμα (spirit) ἀκάθαρτον (unclean), ἐλθοῦσα (having come), προσέπεσεν (fell) πρὸς (at) τοὺς (the) πόδας (feet) αὐτοῦ (of Him).

²⁵ Ἰδὼν (Having seen) δὲ (now) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus) ὅτι (that) ἐπισυντρέχει (was running together) ὄχλος (a crowd), ἐπετίμησεν (He rebuked) τῷ (the) πνεύματι (spirit) τῷ (-) ἀκαθάρτῳ (unclean), λέγων (saying) αὐτῷ (to it), “Τὸ (-) ἄλαλον (Mute) καὶ (and) κωφὸν (deaf) πνεῦμα (spirit), ἐγὼ (I) ἐπιτάσσω (command) σοι (you), ἔξελθε (come) ἐξ (out of) αὐτοῦ (him), καὶ (and) μηκέτι (no more) εἰσέλθῃς (may you enter) εἰς (into) αὐτόν (him).”

³³ Καὶ (And) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) συναγωγῇ (synagogue) ἦν (was) ἄνθρωπος (a man) ἔχων (having) πνεῦμα (a spirit) δαιμονίου (of a demon) ἀκαθάρτου (unclean); καὶ (and) ἀνέκραξεν (he cried out) φωνῇ (in a voice) μεγάλῃ (loud), ³⁴ “Ἔα (Ha)! τί (What) ἡμῖν (to us) καὶ (and) σοί (to You), Ἰησοῦ (Jesus), Ναζαρηνέ (of Nazareth)? ἦλθες (Are You come) ἀπολέσαι (to destroy) ἡμᾶς (us)? οἶδά (I know) σε (You) τίς (who) εἶ (are), ὁ (the) Ἅγιος (Holy One) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God).” ³⁵ Καὶ (And) ἐπετίμησεν (rebuked) αὐτῷ (him) ὁ (-) Ἰησοῦς (Jesus), λέγων (saying), “Φιμώθητι (Be silent) καὶ (and) ἔξελθε (come forth) ἀπ’ (out of) αὐτοῦ (him)!” καὶ (And) ῥίψαν (having thrown) αὐτὸν (him) τὸ (the) δαιμόνιον (demon) εἰς (into) τὸ (the) μέσον (midst), ἐξῆλθεν (it came out) ἀπ’ (from) αὐτοῦ (him), μηδὲν (in nothing) βλάψαν (having hurt) αὐτόν (him). ³⁶ Καὶ (And) ἐγένετο (came) θάμβος (astonishment) ἐπὶ (upon) πάντας (all), καὶ (and) συνελάλουν (they were speaking) πρὸς (to) ἀλλήλους (one another), λέγοντες (saying), “Τίς (What) ὁ (-) λόγος (word) οὗτος (is this), ὅτι (that) ἐν (with) ἐξουσίᾳ (authority) καὶ (and) δυνάμει (power) ἐπιτάσσει (He commands) τοῖς (the) ἀκαθάρτοις (unclean) πνεύμασιν (spirits), καὶ (and) ἐξέρχονται (they come out)?” ³⁷ καὶ (And) ἐξεπορεύετο (was spreading) ἦχος (the report) περὶ (concerning) αὐτοῦ (Him) εἰς (into) πάντα (every) τόπον (place) τῆς (of the) περιχώρου (surrounding region).
