¹³ καὶ (and) ἐν (in) μέσῳ (the midst) τῶν (of the) λυχνιῶν (lampstands), ὅμοιον (One like) υἱὸν (the Son) ἀνθρώπου (of Man), ἐνδεδυμένον (having been clothed) ποδήρη (to the feet), καὶ (and) περιεζωσμένον (having been girded about) πρὸς (at) τοῖς (the) μαστοῖς (breasts) ζώνην (with a sash) χρυσᾶν (golden).

⁷ ἀλλὰ (but) ἑαυτὸν (Himself) ἐκένωσεν (emptied), μορφὴν (the form) δούλου (of a servant) λαβών (having taken), ἐν (in) ὁμοιώματι (the likeness) ἀνθρώπων (of men) γενόμενος (having been made). ⁸ καὶ (And) σχήματι (in appearance) εὑρεθεὶς (having been found) ὡς (as) ἄνθρωπος (a man), ἐταπείνωσεν (He humbled) ἑαυτὸν (Himself), γενόμενος (having become) ὑπήκοος (obedient) μέχρι (unto) θανάτου (death), θανάτου (the death) δὲ (even) σταυροῦ (of the cross).

¹⁴ Ἐπεὶ (Since) οὖν (therefore) τὰ (the) παιδία (children) κεκοινώνηκεν (have partaken) αἵματος (of blood) καὶ (and) σαρκός (of flesh) καὶ (also), αὐτὸς (He) παραπλησίως (likewise) μετέσχεν (took part in) τῶν (the) αὐτῶν (same things), ἵνα (so that) διὰ (through) τοῦ (His) θανάτου (death), καταργήσῃ (He might destroy) τὸν (the one) τὸ (the) κράτος (power) ἔχοντα (holding) τοῦ (-) θανάτου (of death), τοῦτ’ (that) ἔστιν (is), τὸν (the) διάβολον (devil), ¹⁵ καὶ (and) ἀπαλλάξῃ (might set free) τούτους (those) ὅσοι (who) φόβῳ (fear) θανάτου (of death) διὰ (through) παντὸς (all) τοῦ (their time) ζῆν (to live), ἔνοχοι (subject) ἦσαν (were) δουλείας (to slavery). ¹⁶ Οὐ (Not) γὰρ (for) δή‿ (surely) που (in that place) ἀγγέλων (the angels) ἐπιλαμβάνεται (He helps), ἀλλὰ (but) σπέρματος (the seed) Ἀβραὰμ (of Abraham) ἐπιλαμβάνεται (He helps). ¹⁷ ὅθεν (Therefore) ὤφειλεν (it behooved Him) κατὰ (in) πάντα (all things) τοῖς (His) ἀδελφοῖς (brothers) ὁμοιωθῆναι (to be made like), ἵνα (so that) ἐλεήμων (a merciful) γένηται (He might become), καὶ (and) πιστὸς (faithful), ἀρχιερεὺς (high priest) τὰ (in things) πρὸς (relating to) τὸν (-) Θεόν (God), εἰς (in order) τὸ (-) ἱλάσκεσθαι (to make propitiation for) τὰς (the) ἁμαρτίας (sins) τοῦ (of the) λαοῦ (people).

¹⁵ οὐ (Not) γὰρ (for) ἔχομεν (have we) ἀρχιερέα (a high priest) μὴ (not) δυνάμενον (being able) συμπαθῆσαι (to sympathize) ταῖς (with the) ἀσθενείαις (weaknesses) ἡμῶν (of us); πεπειρασμένον (one having been tempted) δὲ (however) κατὰ (in) πάντα (all things) καθ’ (by) ὁμοιότητα (the same way), χωρὶς (without) ἁμαρτίας (sin).

¹⁴ Καὶ (And) εἶδον (I looked), καὶ (and) ἰδοὺ (behold), νεφέλη (a cloud) λευκή (white), καὶ (and) ἐπὶ (upon) τὴν (the) νεφέλην (cloud) καθήμενον (is sitting One) ὅμοιον (like) υἱὸν (the Son) ἀνθρώπου (of Man), ἔχων (having) ἐπὶ (on) τῆς (the) κεφαλῆς (head) αὐτοῦ (of Him) στέφανον (a crown) χρυσοῦν (golden), καὶ (and) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) χειρὶ (hand) αὐτοῦ (of Him) δρέπανον (a sickle) ὀξύ (sharp).

⁶ καὶ (And) ἐξῆλθον (came forth) οἱ (the) ἑπτὰ (seven) ἄγγελοι (angels) οἱ (-) ἔχοντες (having) τὰς (the) ἑπτὰ (seven) πληγὰς (plagues) ἐκ (out) τοῦ (of the) ναοῦ (temple), ἐνδεδυμένοι (having been clothed in) λίνον (linen) καθαρὸν (pure) λαμπρὸν (bright), καὶ (and) περιεζωσμένοι (having been girded with) περὶ (around) τὰ (the) στήθη (chests) ζώνας (sashes) χρυσᾶς (golden).
