⁷ Now if the ministry of death, having been engraved in letters on stones, was produced in glory, so as for the sons of Israel not to be able to look intently into the face of Moses, on account of the glory of his face which is fading,

²⁹ And it came to pass in His praying, the appearance of His face was altered, and His clothing became dazzling white. ³⁰ And behold, two men began talking with Him, who were Moses and Elijah. ³¹ Those having appeared in glory were speaking of His going out, which He was about to accomplish in Jerusalem.

¹⁵ And having looked intently on him, all sitting in the Council saw his face as the face of an angel.

¹⁵ For Law brings wrath; and where there is no Law, neither is transgression.

¹⁰ and this commandment that was unto life proved to be death to me.

¹² So indeed, the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good. ¹³ Has that which is good then become death to me? Never may it be! But in order that sin might be shown to be sin, it is working out death through that which is good to me, so that through the commandment sin might become sinful beyond excess. ¹⁴ For we know that the Law is spiritual; but I am fleshly, having been sold under sin.

²² For I delight in the Law of God according to the inward man;

⁴ For the end of Law is Christ, unto righteousness to everyone believing.

¹⁰ but when the perfect should come, the partial will be done away.

³ being revealed that you are a letter of Christ, having been ministered to by us, having been inscribed not in ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts.

⁶ who also has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

⁹ For if glory was in the ministry of condemnation, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory! ¹⁰ For even that having been made glorious has not been glorified in this respect, on account of the glory surpassing it. ¹¹ For if that which is fading away was through glory, much more is that remaining in glory!

¹³ and not as Moses would put a veil over his face for the sons of Israel not to look intently into the end of that fading away. ¹⁴ But their minds were hardened; for until the present day, the same veil remains at the reading of the old covenant, not being lifted, which is being removed in Christ.

⁴ having the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant, having been covered around in every part with gold, in which was the golden pot having the manna, and the staff of Aaron having budded, and the tablets of the covenant.
