⁷ Consider the things I am saying, for the Lord will give you understanding in all things.

⁴⁴ “You let these words sink into your ears; for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.”

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all those opposing you will not be able to resist nor to reply to.

¹⁰ and rescued him out of all his tribulations, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he appointed him ruler over Egypt and over all his house.

⁸ For truly, to one is given a word of wisdom by the Spirit, and to another a word of knowledge according to the same Spirit,

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, ¹⁸ the eyes your of heart being enlightened, in order for you to know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

⁸ Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is venerable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if any excellence and if any praise—think on these things.

⁹ Because of this also, we from the day we heard, do not cease praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding

¹⁵ Ponder these things; be absorbed in them, so that your progress may be evident to all.

¹ Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, carefully consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession,

⁴ Now consider how great this one was, to whom even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth out of the best spoils.

³ For consider fully the One having endured such great hostility from sinners against Himself, so that you shall not grow weary, fainting in your souls.

⁷ Remember those leading you, who spoke the word of God to you, of whom, considering the outcome of their way of life, you are to imitate the faith.

⁵ Now if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, the One giving generously to all and not finding fault, and it will be given to him.

¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.

¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is indeed first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and of good fruits, impartial, sincere.

²⁰ Now we know that the Son of God is come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
