¹⁷ And he was reasoning within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere I will store up my fruits?’

⁴² Give to the one asking of you, and you shall not turn away from the one desiring to borrow from you.

¹¹ And answering, he was saying to them, “The one having two tunics, let him impart to the one having none; and the one having food, let him do likewise.”

²⁵ And behold, a certain lawyer stood up, testing Him, saying, “Teacher, what having done, will I inherit eternal life?”

⁴¹ But give as alms the things being within, and behold, all things are clean to you.

²² And He said to His disciples, “Because of this I say to you, do not be anxious for life, what you should eat, nor for your body, what you should put on.

²⁹ And you, do not seek what you might eat, and what you might drink, and do not be in suspense;

³³ Sell your possessions and give alms; make to yourselves purses not growing old, an unfailing treasure in the heavens, where thief does not draw near, nor does moth destroy.

¹³ But when you make a feast, call the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, ¹⁴ and you will be blessed, because they have nothing to repay you. For it will be recompensed to you in the resurrection of the righteous.”

³ And the manager said within himself, ‘What shall I do, for my master is taking away the management from me? I am not able to dig; I am ashamed to beg.

⁹ And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by the mammon of unrighteousness, that when it fails, they might receive you into the eternal dwellings.

²² And having heard, Jesus said to him, “To you, yet one thing is lacking: Sell all, as much as you have, and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in the heavens; and come, follow Me.”

¹⁷ And He said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you were faithful in very little, you are to be having authority over ten cities.’

³⁷ And having heard, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Men, brothers, what shall we do?”

³⁰ And having brought them out, he was saying, “Sirs, what is necessary of me to do, that I may be saved?”

¹³ contributing to the needs of the saints, pursuing hospitality.

⁶ Now this: The one sowing sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one sowing upon blessings will also reap upon blessings, ⁷ each as he purposes in the heart, not out of regret or of necessity. For God loves a cheerful giver. ⁸ And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in every way, always, having all sufficiency, you may abound in every good work. ⁹ As it has been written: “He has scattered abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness abides to the age.” ¹⁰ Now the One supplying seed to the one sowing and bread for food will supply and will multiply your seed for sowing and will increase the fruits of your righteousness, ¹¹ enriching you in every way to all generosity, which produces through us thanksgiving to God. ¹² For the ministry of this service is not only completely filling up the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God, ¹³ through the proof of this service, glorifying God at your submission of confession to the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of the participation toward them and toward all. ¹⁴ And their supplication is for you, longing for you on account of the surpassing grace of God upon you. ¹⁵ Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

¹⁷ Instruct the rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to have hope in the uncertainty of riches, but on God, the One richly providing us all things for enjoyment;

¹⁶ By this we have known love, because He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.
