Luke 22 Cross References - BLB

1 And the Feast of Unleavened Bread, called Passover, was drawing near. 2 And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how the they might put Him to death; for they were afraid of the people. 3 And Satan entered into Judas the one being called Iscariot, being of the number of the Twelve. 4 And having gone away, he spoke with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him to them. 5 And they rejoiced and agreed to give him money. 6 And he promised, and began seeking opportunity to betray Him to them apart from a crowd. 7 And the day of Unleavened Bread came, on which it was necessary for the Passover lamb to be sacrificed. 8 And He sent Peter and John, having said, “Having gone, prepare the Passover for us, that we might eat it.” 9 And they said to Him, “Where do You desire we should prepare it?” 10 And He said to them, “Behold, of you having entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house into which he enters, 11 and you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”’ 12 And he will show you a large furnished upper room. Prepare it there.” 13 And having gone, they found it as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover. 14 And when the hour was come, He reclined, and the apostles with Him. 15 And He said to them, “With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I say to you that never again will I eat thereof, until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 17 And having received the cup, having given thanks, He said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves. 18 For I say to you that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now until the kingdom of God shall come.” 19 And having taken the bread, having given thanks, He broke it and gave to them, saying, “This is My body, which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me,” 20 and the cup likewise, after having supped, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is being poured out for you. 21 But, behold, the hand of him betraying Me is with Me on the table. 22 For indeed the Son of Man goes according to that having been determined. But woe to that man by whom He is betrayed.” 23 And they began to question among themselves who then of them it might be who is about to do this. 24 And there was also a dispute among them which of them is thought to be the greatest. 25 And He said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles rule over them, and those exercising authority over them are called benefactors. 26 But you shall not be thus. Instead, the greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and the one leading, as the one serving. 27 For who is greater, the one reclining or the one serving? Is not the one reclining? But I am in your midst as the One serving. 28 Now you are those having remained with Me in My trials. 29 And I appoint to you a kingdom, as My Father appointed to Me, 30 so that you may eat and may drink at My table in My kingdom, and may sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 31 Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have all of you to sift like wheat. 32 But I begged for you, that your faith may not fail. And you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” 33 And he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death.” 34 And He said, “I tell you Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you will deny three times knowing Me.” 35 And He said to them, “When I sent you without purse and bag and sandals, did you lack anything?” And they said, “Nothing.” 36 And He said to them, “But now, the one having a purse, let him take it, and likewise a bag; and the one having no sword, let him sell his cloak and buy one. 37 For I say to you that this which has been written, it behooves to be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was reckoned with the lawless.’ For also the things concerning Me have an end.” 38 And they said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” And He said to them, “It is enough.” 39 And having gone forth, He went according to the custom to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed Him. 40 And having come to the place, He said to them, “Pray not to enter into temptation.” 41 And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and having fallen on the knees, He was praying, 42 saying, “Father, if You are willing, take away this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.” 43 And an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him. 44 And having been in agony, He was praying more earnestly. And His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down upon the ground. 45 And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples, He found them sleeping from the grief. 46 And He said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Having risen up, pray that you might not enter into temptation.” 47 While He was still speaking, behold, a crowd, and he who is called Judas, one of the Twelve, was going before them, and drew near to Jesus to kiss Him. 48 And Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” 49 And those around Him, having seen what would be, said, “Lord, should we strike with the sword?” 50 And a certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. 51 And Jesus answering said, “Allow you thus far!” And having touched the ear, He healed him. 52 And Jesus said to those having come out against Him, the chief priests, and captains of the temple and elders, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as against a robber? 53 Every day of Me being with you in the temple, you did not stretch out the hands against Me; but this is your hour, and the power of the darkness.” 54 And having seized Him, they led Him away, and led Him into the house of the high priest. And Peter was following afar off. 55 And they having kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard, and having sat down together, Peter was sitting among them. 56 And a certain servant girl, having seen him sitting by the light, and having looked intently on him, said, “This one also was with Him.” 57 But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I do not know Him.” 58 And after a little, having seen him, another was saying, “You also are of them.” But Peter was saying, “Man, I am not.” 59 And about one hour having elapsed, a certain other strongly affirmed it, saying, “Of a truth, this one also was with Him; for he is also a Galilean.” 60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you say.” And immediately while he was speaking, the rooster crowed. 61 And having turned, the Lord looked at Peter, and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.” 62 And having gone forth outside, he wept bitterly. 63 And the men who are holding Him began mocking Him, beating Him. 64 And having blindfolded Him, they were questioning Him, saying, “Prophesy, who is the one having struck You?” 65 And they were saying many other things to Him, blaspheming. 66 And when it became day, the elderhood of the people were gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led Him into their council, saying, 67 “If You are the Christ, tell us.” And He said to them, “If I should tell you, you would not believe, 68 and if I should ask you, you would not answer. 69 But from now on the Son of Man will be sitting at the right hand of the power of God.” 70 And they all said, “Are You then the Son of God?” And He was saying to them, “You say that I am.” 71 And they said, “What need do we have of any more witness? For we ourselves have heard it from His mouth.”

Hebrews 10:1-10

1 For the Law, having a shadow of the good things coming, not the form of the things themselves, never is able each year, with the same sacrifices which they offer continually, to perfect those drawing near. 2 Otherwise, would they not have ceased being offered, because of those serving having been cleansed once, no longer having conscience of sins? 3 But in these, there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and of goats to take away sins. 5 Therefore coming into the world, He says: “Sacrifice and offering You have not desired, but a body You have prepared me. 6 In burnt offerings and offerings for sin You have not delighted. 7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come— in the scroll of the book it is written of Me— to do Your will, O God.’” 8 Saying above, “Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offerings for sin, You have not desired, nor have You delighted in” (which are offered according to the Law), 9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first that He might establish the second. 10 By that will, we are having been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

30 being therefore a prophet and knowing that God swore to him with an oath to set out of the fruit of his loins upon his throne. 31 Having foreseen, he spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that neither was He abandoned into Hades, nor did His flesh see decay. 32 This Jesus God has raised up, to which we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore having been exalted at the right hand of God, and having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has poured out this which you are both seeing and hearing. 34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, 35 until I place Your enemies as a footstool of Your feet.”’ 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified.”

Matthew 26:26-28

26 Now as they were eating, Jesus, having taken bread and having blessed it, broke it, and having given it to the disciples, He said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” 27 And having taken the cup and having given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the covenant, being poured out for many, for forgiveness of sins.

Mark 14:22-24

22 And as they were eating, having taken bread, having spoken a blessing, He broke it and gave it to them and said, “Take it; this is My body.” 23 And having taken the cup, having given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank of it. 24 And He said to them, “This is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many.

1 Corinthians 11:23-29

23 For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed, took bread, 24 and having given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 Likewise also the cup after having supped, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you might drink it, in remembrance of Me.” 26 For as often as you may eat this bread and may drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He should come. 27 Therefore whoever should eat the bread or should drink the cup of the Lord unworthily will be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and in this manner let him eat of the bread, and let him drink of the cup. 29 For the one eating and drinking not discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself.

1 Corinthians 10:16-21

16 Is not the cup of blessing that we bless a participation in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? 17 Because there is one loaf, we the many are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf. 18 Consider Israel according to flesh: Are not those eating the sacrifices fellow partakers in the altar? 19 Then what do I mean? That what is sacrificed to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20 Rather, that what the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. And I do not want you to be fellow partakers with demons. 21 You are not able to drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You are not able to partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.

Hebrews 8:6-13

6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, as much as He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted upon better promises. 7 For if what was first had been faultless, no place would have been sought for a second. 8 For finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, and I will ratify a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, in the day of My having taken hold of their hand, to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord, putting My Laws into their mind, and I will inscribe them upon their hearts; and I will be to them God, and they will be to Me for a people. 11 And they shall not teach, each his neighbor, and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because all will know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, 12 because I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I shall remember their sins no more. 13 In saying, “new,” He has made obsolete the first; and that which is growing old and aging is near vanishing.

It would be better for him if that man had not been born.”

Mark 14:18-21

18 And as they were reclining and were eating, Jesus said, “Truly I say to you that one of you who is eating with Me will betray Me.” 19 They began to be grieved and to say to Him one by one, “Surely not I?” 20 And He said to them, “It is one of the Twelve, the one dipping in the bowl with Me. 21 For indeed the Son of Man goes as it has been written concerning Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed; it were better for him if that man had not been born.”

16 “Men, brothers, it was necessary for the Scripture to have been fulfilled which the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand by the mouth of David concerning Judas, the one having become guide to those having arrested Jesus. 17 For he was numbered with us, and was allotted a share of this ministry.” 18 (Then indeed this man acquired a field out of the reward of unrighteousness, and having fallen headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his intestines gushed out. 19 And it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem, so that that field was called in their own language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.) 20 “For it has been written in the book of Psalms: ‘Let his homestead become desolate, and let there be not one dwelling in it,’ and, ‘Let another take his position.’ 21 Therefore it behooves the men having accompanied us during all the time that the Lord Jesus came in and went out among us, 22 having begun from the baptism of John until the day in which He was taken up from us, one of these, to become a witness with us of His resurrection.” 23 And they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was called Justus, and Matthias. 24 And having prayed, they said, “You Lord, knower of the hearts of all, show which one of these two You have chosen 25 to take the place of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas turned aside to go to the own place.”

Are you able to drink the cup which I am about to drink?” They say to Him, “We are able.” 23 He says to them, “Indeed you will drink My cup, but to sit on My right hand and on My left, this is not Mine to give, but for whom it has been prepared by My Father.” 24 And the ten having heard this, were indignant about the two brothers.

And you all are clean, but not all.” 11 For He knew the one who was betraying Him; on account of this He said, “You are not all clean.” 12 Therefore when He had washed their feet and taken His garments, and having reclined again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you? 13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say rightly, for so I am. 14 Therefore if I, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash the feet of one another. 15 For I gave you a pattern, that as I did to you, you also should do. 16 Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor a messenger greater than the one having sent him.

15 I do not ask that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from evil. 16 They are not of the world, as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also sent them into the world; 19 and for them I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. 20 But I do not ask for these only, but also for those believing in Me through their word, 21 that all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.

13 being formerly a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and insolent; but I was shown mercy, because I did it in unbelief, being ignorant. 14 And the grace of our Lord surpassingly increased with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 15 Trustworthy is the saying, and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. 16 But because of this I was shown mercy, that in me, the foremost, Christ Jesus might display perfect patience, as a pattern for those being about to believe on Him to eternal life.

Behold, he who is betraying Me has drawn near!” 47 And as He is still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the Twelve, came, and with him great a crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people. 48 And the one betraying Him gave them a sign, saying, “Whomever I shall kiss, it is He; seize Him.” 49 And having come up to Jesus immediately, he said, “Greetings, Rabbi,” and kissed Him. 50 And Jesus said to him, “Friend, for what are you come?” Then having approached, they laid hands on Jesus and seized Him. 51 And behold, one of those with Jesus, having stretched out the hand, drew his sword, and having struck the servant of the high priest, cut off his ear. 52 Then Jesus says to him, “Return your sword into its place; for all those having taken the sword, will perish by the sword. 53 Or do you think that I am not able to call upon My Father, and He will furnish to Me presently more than twelve legions of angels?

Therefore if you seek Me, allow these to go away,” 9 so that the word that He had spoken might be fulfilled, “Those whom You have given Me, I have lost none of them, not one.” 10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear. There is one accusing you: Moses, in whom you have hoped. 46 For if you were believing Moses, you would have believed Me; for he wrote concerning Me. 47 And unless you believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

John 8:43-45

43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to hear My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and you desire to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he might speak falsehood, he speaks from the own; for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45 Now because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me!

John 9:27-28

27 He answered them, “I told you already, and you did not listen. Why do you wish to hear again? Do you wish to become His disciples also?” 28 And they railed at him and said, “You are a disciple of that One, but we are disciples of Moses.

John 10:24-26

24 Therefore the Jews encircled Him and were saying to Him, “Until when do You hold our soul in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” 25 Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in the name of My Father, these bear witness concerning Me. 26 But you do not believe, because you are not from among My sheep.

John 12:37-43

37 Although so many of His signs had been done before them, they did not believe in Him, 38 so that word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, that said: “Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” 39 Because of this, they were not able to believe, for again Isaiah said: 40 “He has blinded their eyes, and has hardened their heart, that they should not see with the eyes, and understand with the heart, and turn, and I will heal them.” 41 Isaiah said these things because he saw His glory and spoke concerning Him. 42 Nevertheless, indeed many even of the rulers believed in Him, but on account of the Pharisees they were not confessing, so that they might not be put out of the synagogue. 43 For they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.

Luke 20:3-7

3 And answering, He said to them, “I also will ask you one thing, and you tell Me: 4 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?” 5 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “If we should say ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Why did you not believe him?’ 6 But if we should say, ‘From men,’ all the people will stone us, for they are having been persuaded John to be a prophet.” 7 And they answered, they did not know from where.

Luke 20:41-44

41 And He said to them, “How do they declare the Christ to be Son of David? 42 For David himself says in the book of Psalms: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, 43 until I place Your enemies, as a footstool of Your feet.”’ 44 David therefore calls Him Lord, and how is He his son?”

Ephesians 1:20-23

20 which He worked in Christ, having raised Him out from the dead, and having set Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 above every principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name being named, not only in this age, but also in the one coming. 22 And He put all things under His feet and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of the One filling all in all.

Ephesians 4:8-10

8 Therefore it says: “Having ascended on high, He led captive captivity, and gave gifts to men.” 9 Now what is “He ascended,” except that He also descended into the lower regions of the earth? 10 The One having descended is also the same one having ascended above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.
