¹⁶ And they brought it, and He says to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” And they said to Him, “Caesar’s.”

¹⁹ Show Me the coin of the tribute.” And they presented to Him a denarius. ²⁰ And He says to them, “Whose likeness and whose inscription is this?” ²¹ They say to Him, “Caesar’s.” Then He says to them, “Therefore give back to Caesar the things of Caesar, and to God the things of God.” ²² And having heard, they marveled. And having left Him, they went away.

²⁴ “Show Me a denarius. Whose image and inscription does it have?” And they said, “Caesar’s.” ²⁵ And He said to them, “Therefore give back to Caesar the things of Caesar, and to God the things of God.” ²⁶ And they were not able to catch Him in His word before the people. And having marveled at His answer, they became silent.

¹⁹ Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those being His,” and, “Let everyone naming the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.”

¹² The one overcoming, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall not go out anymore. And I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from My God, and My new name.
