¹ And beware not to do your righteousness before men in order to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward in the presence of your Father in the heavens. ² Therefore when you perform acts of charity, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense. ³ But you, doing acts of charity, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, ⁴ so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, will reward you. ⁵ And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets so that they might be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense. ⁶ But you when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father, the One in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, will reward you. ⁷ And praying, do not use vain repetitions like the pagans, for they think that in their many words they will be heard. ⁸ Therefore do not be like to them, for your Father knows of what things you have need before your asking Him. ⁹ Therefore pray you like this: ‘Our Father in the heavens, hallowed be Your name! ¹⁰ Your kingdom come. Your will be done as in heaven, so also upon earth. ¹¹ Our daily bread, grant us today. ¹² And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. ¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’ ¹⁴ For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. ¹⁶ And whenever you fast, do not be downcast in countenance like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so that they might appear to men as fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense. ¹⁷ But you fasting, anoint your head and wash your face, ¹⁸ so that you might not appear to men as fasting, but to your Father, the One in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, will reward you. ¹⁹ Do not store up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. ²⁰ But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroy, and where thieves do not break in nor steal. ²¹ For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. ²² The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. ²³ But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! ²⁴ No one is able to serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and he will love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and he will despise the other. You are not able to serve God and mammon. ²⁵ Because of this I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you should eat or what you should drink; nor your body, what you should put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ²⁶ Look at the birds of the air. They do not sow nor do they reap, nor do they gather into barns, and your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? ²⁷ And who of you by worrying is able to add one cubit to his stature? ²⁸ And why do you worry about clothing? Consider carefully how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor nor do they spin. ²⁹ Yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these. ³⁰ But if God thus clothes the grass of the field, existing today and tomorrow being thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? ³¹ Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ Or ‘What shall we drink?’ Or ‘What shall we wear?’ ³² For the Gentiles seek after all these things. For your Heavenly Father knows that you have need of them all. ³³ But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. ³⁴ Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Sufficient to the day is its own trouble.

¹⁶ Thus let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works and they should glorify your Father in the heavens.

⁴⁶ For if you love those loving you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

⁴⁸ You shall be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.

⁴ so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, will reward you. ⁵ And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets so that they might be seen by men. ⁹ Therefore pray you like this: ‘Our Father in the heavens, hallowed be Your name!

¹⁶ And whenever you fast, do not be downcast in countenance like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so that they might appear to men as fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense.

⁴¹ The one receiving a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive the reward of a prophet, and the one receiving a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive the reward of a righteous man. ⁴² And whoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he shall certainly not lose his reward.”

⁶ And Jesus said to them, “Watch and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

²⁷ For the Son of Man is about to come in the glory His Father, with His angels, and then He will give to each according to his deeds.

⁵ And they do all their deeds in order to be seen by men. For they broaden their phylacteries and enlarge their tassels,

¹³ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of the heavens before men. For you neither enter, nor even do you allow those who are entering to go in.

²⁸ Thus indeed outwardly you also appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. ²⁹ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous; ³⁰ and you say, ‘If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’

⁴⁰ And the King answering, will say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did it to Me.’

¹⁵ And He was instructing them, saying, “Watch out! Take heed of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”

³⁵ Therefore take heed, lest the light that is in you be darkness.

¹ In these times, the myriads of the crowd having been gathered together so as to trample upon one another, He began to say to His disciples first, “Take heed to yourselves of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

¹⁵ And He said to them, “Beware, and keep yourselves from all covetousness; for not to anyone is his life in the abundance of that which he possesses.”

¹⁵ And He said to them, “You are those justifying themselves before men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is exalted among men is an abomination before God.

⁴⁴ How are you able to believe, receiving glory from one another, and you do not seek the glory that is from the only God?

⁴³ For they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.

¹⁷ For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if unwillingly, I am entrusted with a stewardship. ¹⁸ What then is my reward? That in preaching the gospel, I should offer the gospel free of charge, so as not to use up my right in the gospel.

⁹ As it has been written: “He has scattered abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness abides to the age.” ¹⁰ Now the One supplying seed to the one sowing and bread for food will supply and will multiply your seed for sowing and will increase the fruits of your righteousness,

¹² As many as desire to have a fair appearance in the flesh, these compel you to be circumcised, only that they might not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.

¹ Because of this, it behooves us to give heed more abundantly to the things we have heard, lest ever we should drift away.

¹⁰ For God is not unjust to forget your work and the love that you have shown toward His name, having ministered to the saints, and still ministering.

²⁶ having esteemed the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking toward the reward.

⁸ Watch yourselves, so that you should not lose what things we have worked for, but you may receive a full reward.

¹⁸ For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth shall pass away, not even one iota, nor one stroke of a letter, shall pass away from the law, until everything should happen.

⁵ And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets so that they might be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense.

⁵ Hypocrite! First cast out the beam from your eye, and then you will see clearly to cast out the splinter from the eye of your brother.

⁷ Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied rightly concerning you, saying,

³ and in the morning, ‘Today a storm, for the sky is red, being overcast.’ Indeed you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but the signs of the times you are not able!

¹⁸ But having known their malice, Jesus said, “Hypocrites, why do you test Me?

⁶ and they love the chief place at the banquets, and the first seats in the synagogues,

¹³ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of the heavens before men. For you neither enter, nor even do you allow those who are entering to go in. ^{14 15} Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you traverse the sea and the dry land to make one convert, and whenever it may happen, you make him twofold more a son of Gehenna than yourselves. ¹⁶ Woe to you, blind guides, those saying, ‘Whoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gold of the temple is bound by his oath.’ ¹⁷ Foolish and blind! For which is greater, the gold, or the temple having sanctified the gold? ¹⁸ And you say, ‘Whoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gift that is upon it is bound by his oath.’ ¹⁹ Blind! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar sanctifying the gift? ²⁰ Therefore the one having sworn by the altar swears by it and by all things that are upon it. ²¹ And the one having sworn by the temple swears by it and by the One dwelling in it. ²² And the one having sworn by heaven swears by the throne of God and by the One sitting upon it. ²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and dill and cumin, and you have neglected the weightier things of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. It behooved you to do these, and not to be leaving aside those. ²⁴ Blind guides—those straining out the gnat and swallowing the camel! ²⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of greed and intemperance. ²⁶ Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the inside of the cup and of the dish, that their outside might become clean also. ²⁷ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like tombs having been whitewashed, which indeed outwardly appear beautiful, but inside they are full of bones of the dead, and of all impurity. ²⁸ Thus indeed outwardly you also appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. ²⁹ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous;

⁵¹ and will cut him in pieces, and will appoint his place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

⁶ And He said to them, “Isaiah prophesied rightly concerning you hypocrites, as it has been written: ‘This people honors Me with the lips, but their heart is kept far away from Me;

³⁹ and first seats in the synagogues, and first places at the feasts;

²⁴ But woe to you who are rich, for you are receiving your comfort.

⁴² How are you able to say to your brother, ‘Brother let that I might cast out the splinter that is in your eye,’ yourself not seeing the beam in your eye? Hypocrite! First cast out the beam from your eye, and then you will see clearly to cast out the splinter in the eye of your brother.

⁴¹ But give as alms the things being within, and behold, all things are clean to you.

⁴³ Woe to you Pharisees, for you love the first seat in the synagogues and the greetings in the marketplaces.

³³ Sell your possessions and give alms; make to yourselves purses not growing old, an unfailing treasure in the heavens, where thief does not draw near, nor does moth destroy.

⁵⁶ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the appearance of the earth and of the sky, but how do you not know to discern this time?

¹⁵ Therefore the Lord answered him and said, “Hypocrites! Does not each one of you untie his ox or donkey from the stall on the Sabbath, and having led it away, give it to drink?

⁴⁶ “Beware of the scribes, desiring to walk in long robes, and loving greetings in the marketplaces and first seats in the synagogues and first places in the banquets,

⁴¹ I do not take glory from men,

¹⁸ The one speaking from himself seeks the own glory, but the One seeking the glory of the One having sent Him, He is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.

²⁹ For some were thinking, since Judas had the money bag, that Jesus is saying to him, “Buy what things we have need of for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor.

³⁶ Now in Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which translated is called Dorcas. She was full of good works and of alms that she continually did.

² devout and fearing God with all his household, doing many alms to the people and praying to God continually.

⁴ And having looked intently on him, and having become afraid, he said, “What is it, Lord?” And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God.

³¹ and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God.

²⁹ And the disciples, as anyone was prospered, each of them determined to send for ministry to the brothers dwelling in Judea,

¹⁷ Now after many years, I arrived to bring alms to my nation, and offerings,

⁸ or exhorting, in the exhortation; giving, in generosity; leading, in diligence; showing mercy, in cheerfulness.

⁶ Now this: The one sowing sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one sowing upon blessings will also reap upon blessings, ⁷ each as he purposes in the heart, not out of regret or of necessity. For God loves a cheerful giver. ⁸ And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in every way, always, having all sufficiency, you may abound in every good work. ⁹ As it has been written: “He has scattered abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness abides to the age.” ¹⁰ Now the One supplying seed to the one sowing and bread for food will supply and will multiply your seed for sowing and will increase the fruits of your righteousness, ¹¹ enriching you in every way to all generosity, which produces through us thanksgiving to God. ¹² For the ministry of this service is not only completely filling up the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God, ¹³ through the proof of this service, glorifying God at your submission of confession to the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of the participation toward them and toward all. ¹⁴ And their supplication is for you, longing for you on account of the surpassing grace of God upon you. ¹⁵ Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

¹⁰ only that we should be mindful of the poor, also the same thing that I was eager to do.

²⁸ The one stealing, let him steal no longer, but rather let him toil, working with the own hands what is good, so that he may have something to impart to the one having need.

⁶ nor seeking glory from men, nor from you, nor from others, though having authority with weight to be, as apostles of Christ.

¹⁸ to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous in distributing, ready to share,

⁷ For I have great joy and encouragement by occasion of your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you, brother.

¹⁶ And do not be forgetful of the good, and of the sharing; for God is well pleased with such sacrifices.

¹⁵ Now if a brother or a sister is without clothes and lacking of daily food, ¹⁶ and anyone out from you says to them, “Go in peace; be warmed and be filled,” but does not give to them the needful things for the body, what is the profit?

¹¹ if anyone speaks, as oracles of God; if anyone serves, as of strength which God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the power to the ages of the ages. Amen.

¹⁷ Now whoever might have the world’s goods, and might see his brother having need, and might close up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? ¹⁸ Little children, we should love not in word, nor in tongue, but in action and in truth. ¹⁹ And by this we will know that we are of the truth, and we will assure our heart before Him,

⁴ And Jesus says to him, “See that you tell no one. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”

³⁰ And their eyes were opened. And Jesus strictly instructed them, saying, “See that no one knows!”

¹⁹ He will not quarrel nor will he cry out; nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets.

⁴⁴ And He says to him, “See that you speak nothing to anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.”

⁴ For no one does anything in secret, and himself seeks to be in public. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.”

⁶ But you when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father, the One in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, will reward you.

¹⁸ so that you might not appear to men as fasting, but to your Father, the One in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, will reward you.

⁴² And whoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he shall certainly not lose his reward.”

³⁴ Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, those being blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom having been prepared for you from the foundation of the world. ³⁵ For I hungered, and you gave Me to eat; I thirsted, and you gave Me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took Me in; ³⁶ naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ ³⁷ Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungering, and fed You? Or thirsting, and gave You to drink? ³⁸ And when did we see You a stranger, and took You in? Or naked, and clothed You? ³⁹ And when did we see You ailing or in prison, and came to You?’ ⁴⁰ And the King answering, will say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did it to Me.’

¹⁷ For nothing is hidden which will not become manifest, nor secret which shall not be known and come to light.

¹⁴ and you will be blessed, because they have nothing to repay you. For it will be recompensed to you in the resurrection of the righteous.”

⁵ Therefore do not judge anything before the time, until the Lord shall have come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the motives of the hearts; and then the praise will come to each from God.

¹³ And there is no creature hidden before Him, but all things are uncovered and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom is our reckoning.

²⁴ Now to Him being able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless in the presence of His glory, with exultation—

²³ And I will kill her children with death, and all the churches will know that I am the One searching affections and hearts; and I will give to each of you according to your works.

² Therefore when you perform acts of charity, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense.

⁷ Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened unto you. ⁸ For everyone asking receives; and the one seeking finds; and to the one knocking, it will be opened.

³⁸ Beseech the Lord of the harvest, therefore, that He might send out workmen into His harvest.”

²² And all things, as many as you might ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”

²⁵ And when you may stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive it, so that your Father in the heavens also might forgive you your trespasses.”

³⁸ And in His teaching He was saying, “Beware of the scribes, desiring to walk about in robes, and greetings in the marketplaces,

¹² And also He was saying to the one having invited Him, “When you make a dinner or a supper, do not call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest ever they also should invite you in return, and recompense be made to you. ¹³ But when you make a feast, call the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, ¹⁴ and you will be blessed, because they have nothing to repay you. For it will be recompensed to you in the resurrection of the righteous.”

¹ And He was speaking to them a parable about the way it behooves them always to pray and not to lose heart,

¹⁰ “Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a tax collector. ¹¹ The Pharisee having stood, was praying toward himself thus: ‘God, I thank You that I am not like the rest of the men—swindlers, unrighteous, adulterers—or even like this tax collector.

¹³ But the tax collector, standing afar off, was not even willing to lift up the eyes to heaven, but was striking his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’

⁴⁷ who devour the houses of widows, and pray at great length as a pretext. These will receive more abundant condemnation.”

²⁴ Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

¹⁸ through all prayer and supplication, praying in the Spirit in every season and unto this very thing, watching with all perseverance and supplication for all saints,

² Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching in it, with thanksgiving, ³ praying at the same time also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which also I have been bound,

¹⁷ Pray unceasingly.

⁶ But He gives greater grace. Therefore it says: “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will save the one ailing, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he might be one having committed sins, it will be forgiven him. ¹⁶ Therefore confess the sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man being made effective prevails much.

⁴ so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, will reward you.

²³ And having dismissed the crowds, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. And evening having arrived, He was there alone,

³⁶ Then Jesus comes with them to a place called Gethsemane, and He says to the disciples, “Sit here until that having gone away over there, I shall pray.” ³⁷ And having taken with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. ³⁸ Then He says to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death. Remain here and watch with Me.” ³⁹ And having gone forward a little, He fell upon His face, praying, and saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Nevertheless not as I will, but as You.”

⁴⁸ Nathanael says to Him, “From where do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip calling you, you being under the fig tree, I saw you.”

¹⁷ Jesus says to her, “Do not touch Me, for not yet have I ascended to the Father. Now go to My brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’”

⁴⁰ And Peter having put all outside and having bowed the knees, prayed. And having turned to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise!” And she opened her eyes, and having seen Peter, she sat up.

⁹ Now on the next day as these are journeying and are approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour to pray.

³⁰ And Cornelius was saying, “Four days ago, until this hour, the ninth hour, I was praying in my house; and behold, a man in bright apparel stood before me,

⁵ For those being according to flesh mind the things of the flesh; but those according to Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

¹⁴ ... for reason of this I bow my knees to the Father,

³² For the Gentiles seek after all these things. For your Heavenly Father knows that you have need of them all.

¹⁷ And if he fails to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he fails to listen to even to the church, let him be to you as the pagan and the tax collector.

³⁹ And having gone forward a little, He fell upon His face, praying, and saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me. Nevertheless not as I will, but as You.”

⁴² Again for a second time having gone away, He prayed, saying, “My Father, if this is not possible to pass unless I drink it, Your will be done.”

⁴⁴ And having left them again, having gone away, He prayed for the third time, having said the same thing again.

³⁴ But having recognized that he is a Jew, there was one cry from all, ongoing about two hours, crying out, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians.”

³⁰ for all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you have need of these.

²³ And in that day, you will ask of Me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you may ask the Father in My name, He will give you. ²⁴ Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, that your joy may be full. ²⁵ I have spoken these things to you in allegories; an hour is coming when I will speak to you no more in allegories, but I will report to you plainly concerning the Father. ²⁶ In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will implore the Father for you. ²⁷ For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from God.

⁶ Be anxious about nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

⁴⁸ You shall be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.

¹⁴ For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.

¹¹ Therefore, if you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in the heavens give good things to those asking Him!

²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

⁹ And call no one your father on the earth; for One is your Father, who is in heaven.

²⁹ And I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now until that the day when I drink it anew with you in the kingdom of My Father.”

¹⁴ “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased!”

¹ And it came to pass in His being in a certain place praying, when He ceased, one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” ² And He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. ³ Give us each day our daily bread. ⁴ And forgive us our sins, for also we ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us; and lead us not into temptation.’”

¹⁸ Having risen up, I will go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you;

²¹ And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; no longer am I worthy to be called your son.’

⁷ To all those being in Rome beloved of God, called saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁵ For you have not received a spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of divine adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”

¹ Paul, an apostle—not from men, nor through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, the One having raised Him out from the dead—

⁶ And because you are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”

¹⁶ alone having immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no one of men has seen nor is able to see, to whom be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

¹⁷ And if you call on as Father the One judging impartially according to the work of each, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your sojourn,

¹¹ “Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will, they existed and were created.”

¹² saying in a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb having been slain, to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

² and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.”

¹⁷ From that time Jesus began to proclaim and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of the heavens has drawn near!”

²¹ Not everyone saying to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of My Father in the heavens.

⁵⁰ For whoever shall do the will of My Father who is in the heavens, he is My brother and sister and mother.”

²⁸ Truly I say to you, there are some of those standing here who shall not taste of death until they have seen the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

³⁵ For whoever shall do the will of God, he is My brother and sister and mother.”

¹⁰ “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father, David!” “Hosanna in the highest!”

¹¹ While they were hearing these things, having proceeded, He spoke a parable because of His being near Jerusalem and of their thinking that the kingdom of God is about to appear immediately.

³⁸ saying: “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

⁴² saying, “Father, if You are willing, take away this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.”

³⁴ Jesus says to them, “My food is that I should do the will of the One having sent Me, and should finish His work.

⁴⁰ For this is the will of My Father, that everyone beholding the Son and believing in Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day.”

¹⁷ If anyone desires to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is from God, or I speak from Myself.

²² And having removed him, He raised up David to them as king, to whom also He said, having carried witness: ‘I have found David the son of Jesse a man according to My heart, who will do all My will.’

¹⁴ And of him not being persuaded, we were silent, having said, “The will of the Lord be done.”

¹⁴ Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will, and to see the Righteous One, and to hear the voice out of His mouth.

² And do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind, for you to prove what is the good and well-pleasing and perfect will of God.

⁶ not with eye-service as men-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,

⁹ Because of this also, we from the day we heard, do not cease praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding

¹³ who has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son,

³ For this is the will of God, your sanctification: You are to abstain from sexual immorality;

¹⁸ Give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God toward you in Christ Jesus.

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, being sent forth for service for the sake of those being about to inherit salvation?

⁷ Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come— in the scroll of the book it is written of Me— to do Your will, O God.’”

³⁶ For you have need of endurance, so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.

²¹ equip you in everything good, in order to do His will, working in us that which is well pleasing before Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory to the ages of the ages. Amen.

¹⁵ because the will of God is this: doing good, to put to silence the ignorance of foolish men,

² so as to live the remaining time in the flesh no longer to men’s desires, but to the will of God.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were great voices in heaven, saying: “The kingdom of the world has become that of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign to the ages of the ages.”

¹⁰ And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying: “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ have come, because the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, the one accusing them before our God day and night.

⁶ And I heard something like the voice of a great multitude, and like the sound of many waters, and like a sound of mighty thunders, saying: “Hallelujah! For the Lord God our Almighty has reigned.

⁴ And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them, and the souls of those having been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who did not worship the beast, nor his image, and did not take the mark upon the forehead, and upon their hand. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

⁴ But answering He said, “It has been written: ‘The man shall live not by bread alone, but by every word coming out of the mouth of God.’”

³ Give us each day our daily bread.

³¹ Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” ³² Therefore Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses has not given you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. ³³ For the bread of God is the One coming out of heaven and giving life to the world.” ³⁴ Therefore they said to Him, “Sir, always give to us this bread.” ³⁵ Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; the one coming to Me never shall hunger, and the one believing in Me never shall thirst at any time. ³⁶ But I said to you that you have also seen Me, and yet do not believe. ³⁷ All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one coming to Me, I shall not cast out. ³⁸ For I have come down from heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of the One having sent Me. ³⁹ Now this is the will of the One having sent Me, that all that He has given Me, I should lose none of it, but will raise it up in the last day. ⁴⁰ For this is the will of My Father, that everyone beholding the Son and believing in Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day.” ⁴¹ Therefore the Jews were grumbling about Him because He said, “I am the bread having come down from heaven.” ⁴² And they were saying, “Is this not Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then does He say, ‘I have come down from heaven?’” ⁴³ Jesus answered and said to them, “Do not grumble with one another. ⁴⁴ No one is able to come to Me unless the Father, the one having sent Me, draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day. ⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets: ‘And they will all be taught of God.’ Everyone having heard from the Father and having learned, comes to Me. ⁴⁶ Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One being from God; He has seen the Father. ⁴⁷ Truly, truly, I say to you, the one believing has eternal life. ⁴⁸ I am the bread of life. ⁴⁹ Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and died. ⁵⁰ This is the bread coming down from heaven, that anyone may eat of it and not die. ⁵¹ I am the living bread, having come down from heaven. If anyone shall have eaten of this bread, he will live to the age. And also, the bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” ⁵² Therefore the Jews were arguing with one another, saying, “How is this man able to give us His flesh to eat?” ⁵³ Therefore Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you shall have eaten the flesh of the Son of Man, and shall have drunk His blood, you do not have life in yourselves. ⁵⁴ The one eating My flesh and drinking My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day. ⁵⁵ For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. ⁵⁶ The one eating My flesh and drinking My blood abides in Me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father sent Me and I live because of the Father, so also the one feeding on Me, he also will live because of Me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread having come down from heaven, not as the fathers ate and died. The one eating this bread will live to the age.” ⁵⁹ He said these things teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

¹² Now we command and exhort to such by our Lord Jesus Christ so that, working with quietness, they may eat their own bread.

⁸ But having sustenance and coverings, with these we will be content.

¹⁴ For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

²¹ Then Peter having come, said to Him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I will forgive him? Up to seven times?” ²² Jesus says to him, “I say to you not up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven! ²³ Because of this, the kingdom of the heavens has become like to a man, a king, who desired to settle accounts with his servants. ²⁴ And he having begun to settle, one was brought to him, a debtor of ten thousand talents. ²⁵ And of him having nothing to pay, the master commanded him to be sold, and the wife and children, and everything that he had, and payment to be made. ²⁶ Therefore the servant, having fallen down, was bowing on his knees to him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay everything to you.’ ²⁷ And the master of that servant having been moved with compassion, released him and forgave him the debt. ²⁸ But the same servant having gone out, found one of his fellow servants who was owing him a hundred denarii, and having seized him, he was throttling him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.’ ²⁹ Therefore his fellow servant having fallen down, was begging him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’ ³⁰ But he was not willing. Rather, having gone, he cast him into prison until he should pay what was owed. ³¹ Therefore his fellow servants having seen the things having taken place, were deeply grieved, and having gone, narrated to their master everything having taken place. ³² Then his master having called him, says to him, ‘Evil servant, I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. ³³ Did it not behoove you also to have pitied your fellow servant, as I also had pitied you?’ ³⁴ And having been angry, his master delivered him to the jailers, until that he should pay all being owed to him. ³⁵ Thus also My Heavenly Father will do to you, unless each of you forgives his brother from your heart.”

³⁷ And do not judge that you should not be judged; and do not condemn that you should not be condemned; forgive and you will be forgiven.

⁴⁰ And answering, Jesus said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he says, “Teacher, say it.” ⁴¹ “There were two debtors to a certain creditor. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. ⁴² They having nothing to pay, he forgave both. Therefore which of them will love him more?” ⁴³ Simon answering, said, “I take it that he to whom he forgave the most.” And He said to him, “You have judged rightly.” ⁴⁴ And having turned to the woman, He was saying to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered into your house; you did not give water for My feet, but she wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. ⁴⁵ You did not give to Me a kiss, but from which time I came in, she herself has not ceased kissing My feet. ⁴⁶ You did not anoint My head with oil, but she herself anointed My feet with fragrant oil. ⁴⁷ Therefore I say to you this: Her many sins have been forgiven, for she loved much; but to whom little is forgiven, he loves little.” ⁴⁸ And He said to her, “Your sins have been forgiven.”

⁴ And forgive us our sins, for also we ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us; and lead us not into temptation.’”

³ Take heed to yourselves: If your brother should sin, rebuke him; and if he should repent, forgive him. ⁴ And if he should sin against you seven times in the day, and seven times should return to you, saying ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.” ⁵ And the apostles said to the Lord, “Add to us faith!”

³⁸ Therefore be it known to you, men, brothers, that through this One, forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.

⁷ in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of trespasses, according to the riches of His grace

³² And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, as also in Christ God forgave you.

¹³ bearing with each other and forgiving each other. If anyone should have a complaint against another, even as also the Lord has forgiven you, so also you.

⁷ But if we should walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. ⁸ If we should say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we should confess our sins, He is faithful and just, that He may forgive us our sins and might cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

³⁷ But let your statement ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and ‘No,’ ‘No.’ Anything more than these comes from evil.

¹⁰ Your kingdom come. Your will be done as in heaven, so also upon earth.

⁴¹ Watch and pray, that you do not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the flesh weak.”

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And behold, I am with you all the days, until the completion of the age.”

³¹ Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have all of you to sift like wheat. ³² But I begged for you, that your faith may not fail. And you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” ³³ And he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death.” ³⁴ And He said, “I tell you Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you will deny three times knowing Me.” ³⁵ And He said to them, “When I sent you without purse and bag and sandals, did you lack anything?” And they said, “Nothing.” ³⁶ And He said to them, “But now, the one having a purse, let him take it, and likewise a bag; and the one having no sword, let him sell his cloak and buy one. ³⁷ For I say to you that this which has been written, it behooves to be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was reckoned with the lawless.’ For also the things concerning Me have an end.” ³⁸ And they said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” And He said to them, “It is enough.” ³⁹ And having gone forth, He went according to the custom to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed Him. ⁴⁰ And having come to the place, He said to them, “Pray not to enter into temptation.” ⁴¹ And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and having fallen on the knees, He was praying, ⁴² saying, “Father, if You are willing, take away this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.” ⁴³ And an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him. ⁴⁴ And having been in agony, He was praying more earnestly. And His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down upon the ground. ⁴⁵ And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples, He found them sleeping from the grief. ⁴⁶ And He said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Having risen up, pray that you might not enter into temptation.”

¹⁵ I do not ask that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from evil.

¹³ No temptation has seized you, except what is common to man. And God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will also provide with the temptation the escape, to be able to endure it.

¹⁶ Otherwise if you bless with the spirit, how will the one filling the place of the uninstructed say the “Amen” at your thanksgiving, since he knows not what you say?

²⁰ For as many as are the promises of God, in Him is the “Yes.” Therefore also in Him, the “Amen” by us is for glory to God.

⁷ and the surpassingness of the revelations. Therefore, that I should not become conceited, a thorn in my flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan, that he might buffet me, so that I should not become conceited. ⁸ Three times I begged the Lord for this, that it might depart from me. ⁹ And He said to me, “My grace suffices you, for the power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore will I boast rather most gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

⁴ the One having given Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us out of the evil age having come presently, according to the will our God and Father,

¹⁰ and to await His Son from the heavens, whom He raised out from the dead—Jesus, the one delivering us from the coming wrath.

³ But the Lord is faithful, who will strengthen you and will keep you from evil.

¹⁷ Now to the King of the ages, the immortal, invisible, only God, be honor and glory to the ages of the ages. Amen.

¹⁵ which He will display in the own seasons, blessed and alone Sovereign, the King of those being kings, and the Lord of those being lords, ¹⁶ alone having immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no one of men has seen nor is able to see, to whom be honor and eternal dominion. Amen. ¹⁷ Instruct the rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to have hope in the uncertainty of riches, but on God, the One richly providing us all things for enjoyment;

¹⁷ But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the proclamation would be fully accomplished, and all the Gentiles should hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. ¹⁸ The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed and will bring me safely into His heavenly kingdom, to whom is the glory unto the ages of the ages. Amen.

¹⁴ Therefore, since the children have partaken of blood and of flesh, He also likewise took part in the same things, so that through His death He might destroy the one holding the power of death, that is, the devil, ¹⁵ and might set free those who all their time to live were subject to slavery through fear of death.

³⁶ And others received the trial of mockings and of scourgings, and in addition, of chains and imprisonment.

⁸ Be sober-minded; watch. Your adversary the devil prowls about as a roaring lion seeking whom to devour,

⁹ then the Lord knows to deliver the devout out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous being punished unto the day of judgment,

⁸ The one practicing sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God was revealed, so that He might destroy the works of the devil.

¹⁸ We know that everyone having been born of God does not continue to sin, but the One having been begotten of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. ¹⁹ We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the evil one.

¹⁸ and the Living One. And I was dead, and behold I am living to the ages of the ages, and I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

¹⁰ Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you might be tested; and you shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful unto death, and I will give to you the crown of life.

¹⁰ Because you have kept the word of My patient endurance, I also will keep you out of the hour of the trial being about to come upon the whole inhabited world, to try those dwelling upon the earth.

¹⁴ And to the messenger of the church in Laodicea write: These things says the Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of God’s creation.

¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and upon the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and everything in them, saying: “To the One sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb, blessing and honor and glory and might to the ages of the ages.”

¹⁴ And I said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Because of this, ‘They are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple; and the One sitting on the throne will tabernacle over them. ¹⁶ they will not hunger any more, neither will they thirst anymore, nor shall the sun at all fall upon them, nor any scorching heat; ¹⁷ because the Lamb in the center of the throne will shepherd them, and He will lead them to fountains living of waters, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”

¹ After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out: “Hallelujah! The salvation and the glory and the power to our God!

⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God, the One sitting on the throne, saying: “Amen, Hallelujah!”

⁴ And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more nor mourning nor crying nor pain; they will be no more, because the former things have passed away.”

¹² And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

² For with that verdict you pronounce, you will be judged; and with that measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

¹³ For judgment without mercy will be to the one not having shown mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

¹⁰ Through this, the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: anyone not practicing righteousness is not of God, and also the one not loving his brother.

³⁵ Thus also My Heavenly Father will do to you, unless each of you forgives his brother from your heart.”

¹⁴ Then the disciples of John come to Him saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees often fast, but Your disciples do not fast?” ¹⁵ And Jesus said to them, “Can the sons of the bridechamber mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But days will come when the bridegroom shall have been taken away from them, and then they will fast.

¹⁸ And the disciples of John and the Pharisees were fasting. And they come and say to Him, “Why do the disciples of John and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?”

³⁷ and she was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart the temple, serving with fastings and prayers night and day.

¹² I fast twice in the week; I tithe all things, as many as I gain.’

² Now as they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart then to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” ³ Then having fasted and having prayed and having laid the hands on them, they sent them off.

²³ Now having chosen elders for them in every church, having prayed, with fasting they committed them to the Lord, in whom they had believed.

⁵ Do not deprive one another, except by mutual agreement, for a time, that you might be at leisure for prayer; and be together the same again, so that Satan may not tempt you through your lack of self-control.

⁵ in beatings, in imprisonments, in riots, in labors, in watchings, in fastings;

²⁷ in labor and toil, often in watchings; in hunger and thirst, often in fastings; in cold and nakedness.

⁶ who “will give to each according to his works,”

⁹ Therefore also we are ambitious, whether being at home or being away, to be well-pleasing to Him.

¹⁸ For the one commending himself, this one is not approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.

²² Slaves, obey the earthly masters in all things, not with eye-services as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. ²³ Whatever you might do, work from the soul, as to the Lord and not to men, ²⁴ knowing that you will receive from the Lord the reward of the inheritance. You serve the Lord Christ!

⁷ so that the proven genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold, perishing though being refined by fire, may be discovered to result in praise and glory and honor in the revelation of Jesus Christ,

¹³ Be in subjection to every human institution for the sake of the Lord, whether to the king as being supreme,

²¹ Jesus was saying to him, “If you desire to be perfect, go, sell what you are possessing, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in the heavens; and come, follow Me.”

²¹ So is the one treasuring up for himself, and not being rich toward God.”

²² And having heard, Jesus said to him, “To you, yet one thing is lacking: Sell all, as much as you have, and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in the heavens; and come, follow Me.”

²⁴ And having seen him, Jesus became sorrowful, saying, “How difficultly those having riches shall enter into the kingdom of God.

⁸ But having sustenance and coverings, with these we will be content. ⁹ But those desiring to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge men into ruin and destruction. ¹⁰ For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils, which some, stretching after, have been seduced away from the faith and have pierced themselves with many sorrows.

¹⁷ Instruct the rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to have hope in the uncertainty of riches, but on God, the One richly providing us all things for enjoyment;

⁵ Let your manner of life be without covetousness, being satisfied with the present; for He Himself has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.”

¹ Come now, you rich, weep, wailing over the miseries that are coming upon you. ² Your riches have rotted, and your garments have become moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver have corroded, and their rust will be for a testimony against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have treasured up in the last days.

¹⁵ Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone should love the world, the love of the Father is not in him, ¹⁶ because all that is in the world, the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the vaunting of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.

¹⁹ treasuring up for themselves a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is indeed life.

³⁴ For both you sympathized with the prisoners and you accepted the plundering of your possessions with joy, knowing yourselves to have a better and abiding possession.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers: Has not God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that He promised to those loving Him?

⁴ to an inheritance imperishable and undefiled and unfading, being reserved in the heavens for you,

⁴ And the Chief Shepherd having been revealed, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

⁹ I know your tribulation and poverty—but you are rich—and the blasphemy of those claiming themselves to be Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

³⁴ Offspring of vipers, how are you able to speak good things, being evil? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

³⁴ For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

²¹ To you there is no part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.

⁵ For while we were in the flesh, the passions of sins that were through the Law were at work in our members, to the bringing forth of fruit to death. ⁶ But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that which we were bound, in order for us to serve in newness of the Spirit, and not in oldness of the letter. ⁷ What then shall we say? Is the Law sin? Never may it be! But I have not known sin, if not by Law. And indeed, I had not been conscious of covetousness if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”

¹⁸ We are not looking at the things being seen, but the things not being seen. For the things being seen are temporary, but the things not being seen are eternal.

¹ If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. ² Set your minds on the things above, not the things on the earth. ³ For you have died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.

³ Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁹ I Paul did write with my own hand. I will repay it, that I may not say to you that you owe also to me even yourself.

¹² Take heed, brothers, lest ever there will be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, into falling away from the living God.

³⁴ Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is clear, your whole body is also light; but when it is evil, your body is also dark. ³⁵ Therefore take heed, lest the light that is in you be darkness. ³⁶ If therefore your body is full of light, not having any part dark, it will be all light, as when the lamp shining might light you.”

⁴⁶ And every day they were steadfastly continuing with one accord in the temple and breaking bread at each house. They were partaking of food with gladness and sincerity of heart,

³ But I am afraid, lest by any means, as the serpent in his craftiness deceived Eve, your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity and the purity in Christ.

⁵ Slaves, obey the earthly masters with fear and trembling, in sincerity of your heart as to Christ,

²² Slaves, obey the earthly masters in all things, not with eye-services as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.

²² The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.

¹⁵ Or is it not lawful for me to do what I will with that which is mine? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?’

¹⁶ Woe to you, blind guides, those saying, ‘Whoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gold of the temple is bound by his oath.’ ¹⁷ Foolish and blind! For which is greater, the gold, or the temple having sanctified the gold? ¹⁸ And you say, ‘Whoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gift that is upon it is bound by his oath.’ ¹⁹ Blind! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar sanctifying the gift? ²⁰ Therefore the one having sworn by the altar swears by it and by all things that are upon it. ²¹ And the one having sworn by the temple swears by it and by the One dwelling in it. ²² And the one having sworn by heaven swears by the throne of God and by the One sitting upon it. ²³ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and dill and cumin, and you have neglected the weightier things of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. It behooved you to do these, and not to be leaving aside those. ²⁴ Blind guides—those straining out the gnat and swallowing the camel! ²⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of greed and intemperance. ²⁶ Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the inside of the cup and of the dish, that their outside might become clean also. ²⁷ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like tombs having been whitewashed, which indeed outwardly appear beautiful, but inside they are full of bones of the dead, and of all impurity. ²⁸ Thus indeed outwardly you also appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

²² covetous desires, wickednesses, deceit, sensuality, an evil eye, slander, pride, foolishness.

¹⁰ And He said, “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest, it is in parables, so that, ‘Seeing, they may not see; and hearing, they may not understand.’

³⁹ And Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those not seeing may see, and those seeing may become blind.” ⁴⁰ Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things, and they said to Him, “Are we also blind?” ⁴¹ Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin. But since you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.”

²² Professing to be wise, they became fools,

¹⁷ But if you are called a Jew and rely on the Law and boast in God, ¹⁸ and you know His will and approve the things being superior, being instructed out of the Law, ¹⁹ and you are persuaded that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light to those in darkness, ²⁰ an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of infants, having in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and of the truth— ²¹ then you teaching another, do you do not teach yourself? You preaching not to steal, do you steal? ²² You saying not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You abhorring idols, do you rob temples? ²³ You who boast in Law, do you dishonor God through the transgression of the Law?

¹⁸ For the message of the cross is foolishness to those indeed perishing, but to us being saved it is the power of God. ¹⁹ For it has been written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; and the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” ²⁰ Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

¹⁴ But the natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to understand them, because spiritually they are discerned.

¹⁸ Let no one deceive himself: If anyone among you thinks himself to be wise in this age, let him become foolish, so that he may become wise. ¹⁹ For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it has been written: “He is the One catching the wise in their craftiness.”

¹⁸ being darkened in the understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance being in them on account of the hardness of their heart,

⁸ For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light—

¹¹ But the one hating his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness; and he knows not where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

¹⁷ For you say, ‘I am rich, and I have grown rich, and I have need of nothing.’ And you do not realize that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. ¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from Me gold having been refined by fire so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may be clothed and the shame your of nakedness might not be made manifest, and eye-salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.

¹⁰ Then Jesus says to him, “Get you away, Satan! For it has been written: ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him alone shall you serve.’”

⁹ And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by the mammon of unrighteousness, that when it fails, they might receive you into the eternal dwellings.

¹¹ If therefore you have not been faithful in unrighteous mammon, who will entrust to you the true?

¹³ No servant is able to serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and he will love the other, or he will be devoted to one and he will despise the other. You are not able to serve God and mammon.”

¹⁶ Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as slaves for obedience, you are slaves to him whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness? ¹⁷ But thanks be to God that you who were slaves of sin have now become obedient from the heart to the pattern of teaching to which you were committed. ¹⁸ And having been set free from sin, you have become slaves to righteousness. ¹⁹ I speak in human terms on account of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you yielded your members in bondage to impurity and to lawlessness unto lawlessness, so now yield your members in bondage to righteousness unto sanctification. ²⁰ For when you were slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness. ²¹ What fruit, therefore, did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. ²² But now, having been set free from sin, and having become slaves to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end is eternal life.

¹⁰ For presently do I seek approval of men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

¹⁰ for Demas has deserted me, having loved the present age, and he has gone to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.

⁴ Adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility with God? Therefore whoever has chosen to be a friend of the world is appointed an enemy of God.

²² But I say to you that everyone being angry with his brother will be liable to the judgment, and whoever shall say to his brother ‘Raca,’ will be liable to the Sanhedrin. But whoever shall say, ‘Fool!’ will be liable to the Gehenna of fire. ²³ Therefore, if you shall offer your gift at the altar, and there shall remember that your brother has something against you, ²⁴ leave your gift there before the altar and first go away, be reconciled to your brother; and then having come, offer your gift. ²⁵ Be agreeing quickly with your accuser while you are on the way with him, lest ever the accuser deliver you to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you will be cast into prison. ²⁶ Truly I say to you, you shall not come out from there until you should pay the last kodranten! ²⁷ You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ²⁸ But I say to you that everyone looking upon a woman in order to lust after her already has committed adultery with her in his heart.

²⁷ And who of you by worrying is able to add one cubit to his stature? ²⁸ And why do you worry about clothing? Consider carefully how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor nor do they spin.

³¹ Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ Or ‘What shall we drink?’ Or ‘What shall we wear?’

³⁴ Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Sufficient to the day is its own trouble.

¹⁹ And when they deliver you up, do not be anxious how or what you should speak; for in that hour you will be given what you should say,

²² And the one having been sown among the thorns, this is the one hearing the word, but the care of this present age and the deceit of riches choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

¹⁹ and the cares of this age and the deceit of riches, and the desires of the other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

¹¹ But when they might lead you away, delivering you up, do not be anxious beforehand what you should say; but whatever might be given to you in that hour, speak that. For you are not those speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

¹⁴ And that having fallen into the thorns, these are those having heard, and moving along are choked under the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and do not mature.

⁴⁰ But Martha was distracted about much service; and having come up, she said, “Lord, is it not concerning to You that my sister has left me alone to serve? Therefore speak to her, that she might help me!” ⁴¹ And the Lord answering said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things;

⁴ And I say to you, My friends, you should not fear because of those killing the body and after these things not being able to do anything more abundantly. ⁵ But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear the One who has authority, after the killing, to cast into Gehenna. Yes, I say to you, fear Him.

⁸ And I say to you, everyone who will confess in Me before men, the Son of Man also will confess in him before the angels of God. ⁹ And the one having denied Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

¹¹ And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious how or what you shall reply in defense, or what you should say.

²² And He said to His disciples, “Because of this I say to you, do not be anxious for life, what you should eat, nor for your body, what you should put on. ²³ For life is more than food, and the body than clothing. ²⁴ Consider the ravens, that they do not sow, nor reap; to them there is not a storehouse, nor barn—and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than the birds! ²⁵ And which of you, being anxious, is able to add one hour to his lifespan? ²⁶ If, then, you cannot even do the least, why are you anxious about the rest? ²⁷ Consider the lilies, how they grow: They do not labor, nor do they spin. But I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed as one of these. ²⁸ But if God thus clothes the grass in the field, being here today and tomorrow being thrown into the furnace, how much more you, O you of little faith! ²⁹ And you, do not seek what you might eat, and what you might drink, and do not be in suspense; ³⁰ for all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you have need of these. ³¹ But seek you His kingdom, and these things will be added to you.

³² For He who spared not the own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, with Him, grant us all things?

³² And I desire you to be without concern. The unmarried man cares for the things of the Lord, how he should please the Lord;

⁴ No one serving as a soldier entangles himself in the affairs of this life, that he might please the one having enlisted him.

⁵ Let your manner of life be without covetousness, being satisfied with the present; for He Himself has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.” ⁶ So we are confident to say: “The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid; what shall man do to me?”

⁷ having cast all your anxiety upon Him, because with Him there is care about you.

⁹ Or which man is among you who, if his son will ask for bread, will give him a stone?

²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for an assarion? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. ³⁰ And even the hairs of your head are all numbered. ³¹ Therefore you should not fear; you are worth more than many sparrows.

⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two assarion? And not one of them is forgotten before God. ⁷ But even the hairs of your head all have been numbered. Fear not; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

³⁶ Neither shall you swear by your head, because you are not able to make one hair white or black.

²⁵ And which of you, being anxious, is able to add one hour to his lifespan? ²⁶ If, then, you cannot even do the least, why are you anxious about the rest?

¹⁸ But now God has arranged the members, each one of them in the body, as He desired.

²⁵ Because of this I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you should eat or what you should drink; nor your body, what you should put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

¹⁰ nor provision-bag for the way, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor a staff; for the workman is worthy of his provisions.

¹¹ And answering, he was saying to them, “The one having two tunics, let him impart to the one having none; and the one having food, let him do likewise.”

²⁷ Consider the lilies, how they grow: They do not labor, nor do they spin. But I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed as one of these.

³⁵ And He said to them, “When I sent you without purse and bag and sandals, did you lack anything?” And they said, “Nothing.” ³⁶ And He said to them, “But now, the one having a purse, let him take it, and likewise a bag; and the one having no sword, let him sell his cloak and buy one.

⁹ Likewise also women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, ¹⁰ but with what is becoming to women, professing the fear of God through good works.

² having witnessed your respectful, pure conduct, ³ whose adorning let not be the external, of braiding of hair and putting around of gold, or putting on of garments, ⁴ but the hidden man of the heart, in the imperishable of the gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth before God. ⁵ For in this way formerly, the holy women also hoping in God used to adorn themselves, being subject to the own husbands,

²⁶ And He says to them, “O you of little faith, Why are you afraid?” Then having arisen, He rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

³¹ And immediately Jesus having stretched out the hand, took hold of him and says to him, “O Little faith, why did you waver?”

⁸ But having known this, Jesus said, “Why do you reason among yourselves, you of little faith, because you did not take bread?

¹⁷ And Jesus answering said, “O unbelieving and perverted generation, how long will I be with you? How long will I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.”

⁴⁰ And He said to them, “Why are you fearful? Have you still no faith?”

¹⁹ And answering him He says, “O unbelieving generation! Until when will I be with you? Until when will I bear with you? Bring him to Me.”

⁴¹ And Jesus answering said, “O unbelieving and perverted generation, until when will I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here.”

²⁸ But if God thus clothes the grass in the field, being here today and tomorrow being thrown into the furnace, how much more you, O you of little faith!

²⁷ Then He says to Thomas, “Bring your finger here, and see My hands; and bring your hand, and put it into My side; and be not unbelieving, but believing.”

¹⁰ and he who is rich, in his humiliation, because he will pass away like a flower of grass. ¹¹ For the sun has risen with its burning heat and withered the grass, and its flower has fallen, and the beauty of its appearance has perished. Thus also the rich man will fade away in the midst of his pursuits.

²⁴ because, “All flesh is like grass, and all the glory of it like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls away,

³³ And the disciples say to Him, “From where will be to us in a secluded place so many loaves, as so great a crowd to satisfy?”

²⁹ And you, do not seek what you might eat, and what you might drink, and do not be in suspense;

⁴⁶ For if you love those loving you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? ⁴⁷ And if you greet only your brothers, what extraordinary are you doing? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?

⁸ Therefore do not be like to them, for your Father knows of what things you have need before your asking Him.

²⁵ And Jesus having summoned them, said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and the great ones exercise authority over them. ²⁶ Thus will it not be among you. But whoever wishes to become great among you, he will be your servant;

¹¹ And which father among you, if the son will ask for a fish, and instead of a fish, will give to him a serpent? ¹² Or also if he will ask for an egg, will he give to him a scorpion? ¹³ Therefore if you, being evil, know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father who is in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him!”

¹⁷ This therefore I say and testify in the Lord: You are no longer to walk as also the Gentiles are walking, in the futility of their mind,

⁵ not in the passion of lust, as also the Gentiles, not knowing God;

⁶ Blessed are those hungering and thirsting for righteousness, for they will be filled.

⁴⁴ The kingdom of the heavens is like treasure having been hidden in the field, which a man having found, hid. And for joy over it, he goes and he sells all that he has, and buys that field. ⁴⁵ Again, the kingdom of the heavens is like a merchant seeking fine pearls. ⁴⁶ And having found one very precious pearl, having gone away, he has sold all things as many as he had, and bought it.

²⁹ And everyone who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for the sake of My name, will receive a hundredfold, and will inherit eternal life.

²⁹ Jesus was saying, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands for My sake and because of the gospel, ³⁰ who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age which is coming, eternal life.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking blameless in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.

³¹ But seek you His kingdom, and these things will be added to you.

²⁹ And He said to them, “Truly I say to you that there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God, ³⁰ who shall not receive manifold more in this time—and in the age that is coming, eternal life.”

²⁷ Do not work for the food that is perishing, but for the food enduring unto eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you; for God the Father has sealed Him.”

²⁵ And now, behold, I know that all of you among whom I have gone about proclaiming the kingdom will see my face no more.

³¹ proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, unhinderedly.

¹⁷ For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it has been written: “And the righteous will live by faith.”

²¹ But now apart from Law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, being borne witness to by the Law and the Prophets. ²² And the righteousness of God is through faith from Jesus Christ toward all those believing. For there is no distinction,

³¹ What then will we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

³ For being ignorant of the righteousness of God and seeking to establish the own righteousness, they did not submit to the righteousness of God.

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

³⁰ But out of Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who has been made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption,

²² whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come—all are yours,

²¹ He made the One not having known sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

⁹ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is of the Law, but that which is through faith from Christ, the righteousness of God on the basis of faith,

¹³ who has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son, ¹⁴ in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

⁵ This is a plain token of the righteous judgment of God, for you to be accounted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which also you suffer.

⁸ For bodily exercise is of a little profit, but godliness is profitable for everything, holding the promise of the present life and of the one coming.

¹ Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those having obtained a faith equally precious with ours, through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

¹¹ For in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplied to you.

¹¹ Our daily bread, grant us today.

²⁷ Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it fear.

³³ I have spoken these things to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world.”

²² strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith and that “through many tribulations it behooves us to enter into the kingdom of God.”

³ that no one be moved in these tribulations. For you yourselves know that we are destined for this. ⁴ And indeed, when we were with you, we were telling you beforehand that we are about to suffer affliction, just as also it came to pass, and you know.
