1 And beware not to do your righteousness before men in order to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward in the presence of your Father in the heavens.
2 Therefore when you perform acts of charity, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense.
3 But you, doing acts of charity, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
4 so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, will reward you.
5 And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets so that they might be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense.
6 But you when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father, the One in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, will reward you.
7 And praying, do not use vain repetitions like the pagans, for they think that in their many words they will be heard.
8 Therefore do not be like to them, for your Father knows of what things you have need before your asking Him.
9 Therefore pray you like this: ‘Our Father in the heavens, hallowed be Your name!
10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done as in heaven, so also upon earth.
11 Our daily bread, grant us today.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’
14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
16 And whenever you fast, do not be downcast in countenance like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so that they might appear to men as fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense.
17 But you fasting, anoint your head and wash your face,
18 so that you might not appear to men as fasting, but to your Father, the One in secret. And your Father, the One seeing in secret, will reward you.
19 Do not store up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroy, and where thieves do not break in nor steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.
23 But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No one is able to serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and he will love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and he will despise the other. You are not able to serve God and mammon.
25 Because of this I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you should eat or what you should drink; nor your body, what you should put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
26 Look at the birds of the air. They do not sow nor do they reap, nor do they gather into barns, and your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
27 And who of you by worrying is able to add one cubit to his stature?
28 And why do you worry about clothing? Consider carefully how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor nor do they spin.
29 Yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.
30 But if God thus clothes the grass of the field, existing today and tomorrow being thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ Or ‘What shall we drink?’ Or ‘What shall we wear?’
32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things. For your Heavenly Father knows that you have need of them all.
33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Sufficient to the day is its own trouble.

4 But answering He said, “It has been written: ‘The man shall live not by bread alone, but by every word coming out of the mouth of God.’”
Luke 11:3
3 Give us each day our daily bread.
John 6:31-59
31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”
32 Therefore Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses has not given you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is the One coming out of heaven and giving life to the world.”
34 Therefore they said to Him, “Sir, always give to us this bread.”
35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; the one coming to Me never shall hunger, and the one believing in Me never shall thirst at any time.
36 But I said to you that you have also seen Me, and yet do not believe.
37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one coming to Me, I shall not cast out.
38 For I have come down from heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of the One having sent Me.
39 Now this is the will of the One having sent Me, that all that He has given Me, I should lose none of it, but will raise it up in the last day.
40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone beholding the Son and believing in Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day.”
41 Therefore the Jews were grumbling about Him because He said, “I am the bread having come down from heaven.”
42 And they were saying, “Is this not Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then does He say, ‘I have come down from heaven?’”
43 Jesus answered and said to them, “Do not grumble with one another.
44 No one is able to come to Me unless the Father, the one having sent Me, draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.
45 It is written in the prophets: ‘And they will all be taught of God.’ Everyone having heard from the Father and having learned, comes to Me.
46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One being from God; He has seen the Father.
47 Truly, truly, I say to you, the one believing has eternal life.
48 I am the bread of life.
49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and died.
50 This is the bread coming down from heaven, that anyone may eat of it and not die.
51 I am the living bread, having come down from heaven. If anyone shall have eaten of this bread, he will live to the age. And also, the bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.”
52 Therefore the Jews were arguing with one another, saying, “How is this man able to give us His flesh to eat?”
53 Therefore Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you shall have eaten the flesh of the Son of Man, and shall have drunk His blood, you do not have life in yourselves.
54 The one eating My flesh and drinking My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day.
55 For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.
56 The one eating My flesh and drinking My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father sent Me and I live because of the Father, so also the one feeding on Me, he also will live because of Me.
58 This is the bread having come down from heaven, not as the fathers ate and died. The one eating this bread will live to the age.”
59 He said these things teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

23 Because of this, the kingdom of the heavens has become like to a man, a king, who desired to settle accounts with his servants.
24 And he having begun to settle, one was brought to him, a debtor of ten thousand talents.
25 And of him having nothing to pay, the master commanded him to be sold, and the wife and children, and everything that he had, and payment to be made.
26 Therefore the servant, having fallen down, was bowing on his knees to him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay everything to you.’
27 And the master of that servant having been moved with compassion, released him and forgave him the debt.
28 But the same servant having gone out, found one of his fellow servants who was owing him a hundred denarii, and having seized him, he was throttling him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.’
29 Therefore his fellow servant having fallen down, was begging him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’
30 But he was not willing. Rather, having gone, he cast him into prison until he should pay what was owed.
31 Therefore his fellow servants having seen the things having taken place, were deeply grieved, and having gone, narrated to their master everything having taken place.
32 Then his master having called him, says to him, ‘Evil servant, I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.
33 Did it not behoove you also to have pitied your fellow servant, as I also had pitied you?’
34 And having been angry, his master delivered him to the jailers, until that he should pay all being owed to him.
35 Thus also My Heavenly Father will do to you, unless each of you forgives his brother from your heart.”

42 They having nothing to pay, he forgave both. Therefore which of them will love him more?”
43 Simon answering, said, “I take it that he to whom he forgave the most.” And He said to him, “You have judged rightly.”
44 And having turned to the woman, He was saying to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered into your house; you did not give water for My feet, but she wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.
45 You did not give to Me a kiss, but from which time I came in, she herself has not ceased kissing My feet.
46 You did not anoint My head with oil, but she herself anointed My feet with fragrant oil.
47 Therefore I say to you this: Her many sins have been forgiven, for she loved much; but to whom little is forgiven, he loves little.”
48 And He said to her, “Your sins have been forgiven.”

36 And He said to them, “But now, the one having a purse, let him take it, and likewise a bag; and the one having no sword, let him sell his cloak and buy one.
37 For I say to you that this which has been written, it behooves to be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was reckoned with the lawless.’ For also the things concerning Me have an end.”
38 And they said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” And He said to them, “It is enough.”
39 And having gone forth, He went according to the custom to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed Him.
40 And having come to the place, He said to them, “Pray not to enter into temptation.”
41 And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and having fallen on the knees, He was praying,
42 saying, “Father, if You are willing, take away this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.”
43 And an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.
44 And having been in agony, He was praying more earnestly. And His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down upon the ground.
45 And having risen up from the prayer, having come to the disciples, He found them sleeping from the grief.
46 And He said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Having risen up, pray that you might not enter into temptation.”

3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philemon 1:19
19 I Paul did write with my own hand. I will repay it, that I may not say to you that you owe also to me even yourself.
Hebrews 3:12
12 Take heed, brothers, lest ever there will be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, into falling away from the living God.
Luke 11:34-36
34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is clear, your whole body is also light; but when it is evil, your body is also dark.
35 Therefore take heed, lest the light that is in you be darkness.
36 If therefore your body is full of light, not having any part dark, it will be all light, as when the lamp shining might light you.”
Acts 2:46
46 And every day they were steadfastly continuing with one accord in the temple and breaking bread at each house. They were partaking of food with gladness and sincerity of heart,
2 Corinthians 11:3
3 But I am afraid, lest by any means, as the serpent in his craftiness deceived Eve, your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity and the purity in Christ.

Matthew 20:15
15 Or is it not lawful for me to do what I will with that which is mine? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?’
Matthew 23:16-28
16 Woe to you, blind guides, those saying, ‘Whoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gold of the temple is bound by his oath.’
17 Foolish and blind! For which is greater, the gold, or the temple having sanctified the gold?
18 And you say, ‘Whoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gift that is upon it is bound by his oath.’
19 Blind! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar sanctifying the gift?
20 Therefore the one having sworn by the altar swears by it and by all things that are upon it.
21 And the one having sworn by the temple swears by it and by the One dwelling in it.
22 And the one having sworn by heaven swears by the throne of God and by the One sitting upon it.
23 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithes of mint and dill and cumin, and you have neglected the weightier things of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. It behooved you to do these, and not to be leaving aside those.
24 Blind guides—those straining out the gnat and swallowing the camel!
25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of greed and intemperance.
26 Blind Pharisee! First cleanse the inside of the cup and of the dish, that their outside might become clean also.
27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like tombs having been whitewashed, which indeed outwardly appear beautiful, but inside they are full of bones of the dead, and of all impurity.
28 Thus indeed outwardly you also appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

John 9:39-41
39 And Jesus said, “For judgment I came into this world, that those not seeing may see, and those seeing may become blind.”
40 Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things, and they said to Him, “Are we also blind?”
41 Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin. But since you say, ‘We see,’ your sin remains.”
Romans 1:22
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
Romans 2:17-23
17 But if you are called a Jew and rely on the Law and boast in God,
18 and you know His will and approve the things being superior, being instructed out of the Law,
19 and you are persuaded that you yourself are a guide of the blind, a light to those in darkness,
20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of infants, having in the Law the embodiment of knowledge and of the truth—
21 then you teaching another, do you do not teach yourself? You preaching not to steal, do you steal?
22 You saying not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You abhorring idols, do you rob temples?
23 You who boast in Law, do you dishonor God through the transgression of the Law?
1 Corinthians 1:18-20
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those indeed perishing, but to us being saved it is the power of God.
19 For it has been written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; and the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
1 Corinthians 2:14
14 But the natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to understand them, because spiritually they are discerned.
1 Corinthians 3:18-19
Ephesians 4:18
18 being darkened in the understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance being in them on account of the hardness of their heart,

8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light—
1 John 2:11
11 But the one hating his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness; and he knows not where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
Revelation 3:17-18
17 For you say, ‘I am rich, and I have grown rich, and I have need of nothing.’ And you do not realize that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.
18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold having been refined by fire so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may be clothed and the shame your of nakedness might not be made manifest, and eye-salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.

10 Then Jesus says to him, “Get you away, Satan! For it has been written: ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him alone shall you serve.’”

Luke 16:13
13 No servant is able to serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and he will love the other, or he will be devoted to one and he will despise the other. You are not able to serve God and mammon.”
Romans 6:16-22
16 Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as slaves for obedience, you are slaves to him whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?
17 But thanks be to God that you who were slaves of sin have now become obedient from the heart to the pattern of teaching to which you were committed.
18 And having been set free from sin, you have become slaves to righteousness.
19 I speak in human terms on account of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you yielded your members in bondage to impurity and to lawlessness unto lawlessness, so now yield your members in bondage to righteousness unto sanctification.
20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free from righteousness.
21 What fruit, therefore, did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
22 But now, having been set free from sin, and having become slaves to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end is eternal life.
Galatians 1:10
10 For presently do I seek approval of men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

10 for Demas has deserted me, having loved the present age, and he has gone to Thessalonica, Crescens to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.
James 4:4
4 Adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility with God? Therefore whoever has chosen to be a friend of the world is appointed an enemy of God.
Matthew 5:22-28
22 But I say to you that everyone being angry with his brother will be liable to the judgment, and whoever shall say to his brother ‘Raca,’ will be liable to the Sanhedrin. But whoever shall say, ‘Fool!’ will be liable to the Gehenna of fire.
23 Therefore, if you shall offer your gift at the altar, and there shall remember that your brother has something against you,
24 leave your gift there before the altar and first go away, be reconciled to your brother; and then having come, offer your gift.
25 Be agreeing quickly with your accuser while you are on the way with him, lest ever the accuser deliver you to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you will be cast into prison.
26 Truly I say to you, you shall not come out from there until you should pay the last kodranten!
27 You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’
28 But I say to you that everyone looking upon a woman in order to lust after her already has committed adultery with her in his heart.

24 Consider the ravens, that they do not sow, nor reap; to them there is not a storehouse, nor barn—and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than the birds!
25 And which of you, being anxious, is able to add one hour to his lifespan?
26 If, then, you cannot even do the least, why are you anxious about the rest?
27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: They do not labor, nor do they spin. But I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed as one of these.
28 But if God thus clothes the grass in the field, being here today and tomorrow being thrown into the furnace, how much more you, O you of little faith!
29 And you, do not seek what you might eat, and what you might drink, and do not be in suspense;
30 for all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you have need of these.
31 But seek you His kingdom, and these things will be added to you.
