²⁹ But desiring to justify himself, he said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

¹⁰ And not only so, but also Rebecca, having conception by one, Isaac our father, ¹¹ for they not yet having been born nor having done anything good or evil, so that the purpose of God according to election might stand, ¹² not of works, but of the One calling, it was said to her, “The older will serve the younger.” ¹³ As it has been written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”

²⁸ For as regards the gospel, they are enemies on account of you; but as regards election, beloved on account of the patriarchs. ²⁹ For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

²⁶ “If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters and yes, even his life, he is not able to be My disciple.

³⁰ The one not being with Me is against Me, and the one not gathering with Me scatters.

¹³ Come now, those saying, “Today or tomorrow we will go into this city, and will spend a year there, and will trade, and will make a profit,” ¹⁴ who know not what is on the next day. What is your life? It is just a vapor, appearing for a little while, and then vanishing. ¹⁵ Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord should will, both we will live and we will do this or that.” ¹⁶ But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

²³ And having turned to the disciples, He said in private, “Blessed are the eyes seeing what you see! ²⁴ For I say to you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see; and to hear what you hear, and did not hear.”

⁹ Therefore pray you like this: ‘Our Father in the heavens, hallowed be Your name!

¹⁴ For if you forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

²¹ Not everyone saying to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of My Father in the heavens.

⁴ For God commanded, ‘Honor the Father and mother’ and, ‘The one speaking evil of father or mother, in death must end!’

⁶ he shall not honor his father or his mother.’ And you made void the commandment of God on account of your tradition!

¹⁹ you shall honor the father and mother, and you shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”

¹⁰ For Moses said, ‘Honor your Father and your mother,’ and, ‘The one speaking evil of father or mother must surely die.’

¹⁹ You know the commandments: ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, you shall not defraud, you shall honor your father and mother.’”

³⁶ Be you merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

⁴⁶ And why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I say?

²⁰ You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness, you shall honor your father and mother.’”

¹³ You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say rightly, for so I am. ¹⁴ Therefore if I, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash the feet of one another. ¹⁵ For I gave you a pattern, that as I did to you, you also should do. ¹⁶ Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor a messenger greater than the one having sent him. ¹⁷ If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.

² “Honor your Father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise,

¹ As many as are under a yoke as slaves, let them esteem the own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching should not be blasphemed. ² Now those having believing masters, let them not despise them because they are brothers; but rather, let them serve them, because those being helped by the good service are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.

⁹ Servants are to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not gainsaying, ¹⁰ not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, so that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

¹⁷ And if you call on as Father the One judging impartially according to the work of each, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your sojourn,

¹⁷ Honor everyone: love the brotherhood, fear God, Honor the king. ¹⁸ Servants, be subject to masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the unreasonable. ¹⁹ For this is acceptable, if for sake of conscience toward God, anyone endures griefs, suffering unjustly.

²¹ You are not able to drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You are not able to partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.

²¹ For in eating, one takes first the own supper. And indeed this one is hungry, but that one is drunken. ²² What! Have you no houses in which to eat and to drink? Or do you despise the church of God and put to shame those having nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you!

²⁷ Therefore whoever should eat the bread or should drink the cup of the Lord unworthily will be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord. ²⁸ But let a man examine himself, and in this manner let him eat of the bread, and let him drink of the cup. ²⁹ For the one eating and drinking not discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. ³⁰ Because of this, many are weak and sick among you, and many are fallen asleep. ³¹ For if we were judging ourselves, we would not come under judgment. ³² But being judged by the Lord, we are disciplined, so that we should not be condemned with the world.

³¹ We know that God does not hear sinners, but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him.

¹⁵ But the evil spirit answering, said to them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I am acquainted with; but you, who are you?” ¹⁶ And the man in whom was the evil spirit, having leapt on them, having overpowered them all, prevailed against them so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

¹¹ For there is no partiality with God.

²⁶ For such a high priest indeed was fitting for us, holy, innocent, undefiled, having been separated from sinners, and having become higher than the heavens, ²⁷ who has no need every day, as the first high priests, to offer up sacrifices for the own sins, then for those of the people; for He did this once for all, having offered up Himself.

¹² But the hired servant, being not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees—and the wolf snatches them and scatters them—

¹³ Do you not know that those working in the temple eat the things of the temple; those attending at the altar partake in the altar?

²¹ For those all are seeking the things of themselves, not the things of Jesus Christ.

³⁸ But My righteous one will live by faith; and if he might shrink back, My soul does not take pleasure in him.”

² Shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but willingly according to God; and not for base gain but eagerly,

⁹ Therefore pray you like this: ‘Our Father in the heavens, hallowed be Your name! ¹⁰ Your kingdom come. Your will be done as in heaven, so also upon earth.

¹⁹ Therefore having gone, disciple all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

¹⁰ And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of the incense.

²¹ Jesus says to her, “Believe Me, woman, that an hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. ²² You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is of the Jews. ²³ But an hour is coming and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father also seeks such who worship Him.

³⁰ And Cornelius was saying, “Four days ago, until this hour, the ninth hour, I was praying in my house; and behold, a man in bright apparel stood before me, ³¹ and said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God. ³² Therefore send to Joppa and call for Simon, who is called Peter; He lodges in the house of Simon, a tanner by the sea.’ ³³ Therefore I sent to you at once, and you did well, having come. Now therefore, we are all present before God to hear all the things having been commanded you by the Lord.” ³⁴ And Peter, having opened the mouth, said, “Of a truth I understand that God is not One who shows partiality, ³⁵ but in every nation, the one fearing Him and working righteousness is acceptable to Him,

¹⁷ so that the remnant of men may seek out the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom has been called My name, upon them, says the Lord, doing these things, ¹⁸ known from eternity.’

¹ Therefore I exhort you, brothers, through the compassions of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy to God, well-pleasing, which is your reasonable service.

⁹ and for the Gentiles to glorify God for mercy, as it has been written: “Because of this I will praise You among the Gentiles, and will I sing to Your name.” ¹⁰ And again it says: “Rejoice you Gentiles, with His people.” ¹¹ And again: “Praise the Lord, all the Gentiles, and praise Him, all the peoples.”

¹⁶ for me to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, administering the sacred service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles might become acceptable, having been sanctified in the Holy Spirit.

¹⁸ But I have all things, and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things from you, an odor of a sweet smell, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.

⁸ Therefore I desire the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, apart from anger and dissension.

¹⁵ Through Him then, we should offer the sacrifice of praise continually, everything to God, that is, the fruit of the lips confessing His name. ¹⁶ And do not be forgetful of the good, and of the sharing; for God is well pleased with such sacrifices.

⁸ And when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls being full of incenses, which are the prayers of the saints.

³ And another angel having a golden censer came and stood at the altar, and much incense was given to him, that he will offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne. ⁴ And the smoke of the incense went up before God, with the prayers of the saints, out of the hand of the angel.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were great voices in heaven, saying: “The kingdom of the world has become that of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign to the ages of the ages.”

⁴ Who should not fear You, O Lord, and will glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all the nations will come and will worship before You, because Your righteous acts have been revealed.”

²⁴ As it has been written: “For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you.”

¹ And beware not to do your righteousness before men in order to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward in the presence of your Father in the heavens. ² Therefore when you perform acts of charity, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense.

⁵ And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets so that they might be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense.

¹⁶ And whenever you fast, do not be downcast in countenance like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces so that they might appear to men as fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their recompense.

⁴ And some were indignant within themselves: “Why has this the waste of the fragrant oil been made? ⁵ For this fragrant oil could have been sold for above three hundred denarii, and have been given to the poor.” And they were grumbling at her.

³⁷ And He comes and finds them sleeping. And He says to Peter, “Simon are you asleep? Were you not able to watch one hour? ³⁸ Watch and pray, so that you may not enter into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

³⁵ nor by the earth, because it is the footstool of His feet; nor by Jerusalem, because it is the city of the great King.

⁵¹ and will cut him in pieces, and will appoint his place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

⁴¹ And having sat down opposite the treasury, He was watching how the crowd cast money into the treasury; and many rich were casting in much. ⁴² And one poor widow having come, cast in two lepta, which is a kodrantes. ⁴³ And having summoned His disciples, He says to them, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has cast in more than all of those casting into the treasury. ⁴⁴ For all cast in out of that which was abounding to them, but she out of her poverty cast in all, as much as she had of her whole livelihood.”

⁸ She did what she could. She came beforehand to anoint My body for the burial.

¹ In these times, the myriads of the crowd having been gathered together so as to trample upon one another, He began to say to His disciples first, “Take heed to yourselves of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. ² And nothing is concealed up which will not be revealed, nor hidden which will not be known.

⁴⁶ the master of that servant will come in a day in which he does not expect, and in an hour that he does not know, and he will cut him in two and will appoint him a place with the unbelievers.

¹ Now a certain man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a property, ² and he kept back from the proceeds, also the wife being aware of it, and having brought a certain portion, he laid it at the feet of the apostles. ³ But Peter said, “Ananias, because of why has Satan filled your heart for you to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back from the proceeds of the land? ⁴ Remaining, did not it remain yours? And having been sold, was it not in the own authority? Why did you purpose this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God!” ⁵ And hearing these words, Ananias, having fallen down, breathed his last. And great fear came upon all those hearing. ⁶ And the younger men having arisen, covered him, and having carried him out, buried him. ⁷ Now it came to pass about three hours afterward, his wife also came in, not knowing that having come to pass. ⁸ And Peter replied to her, “Tell me if you sold the land for so much?” And she said, “Yes, for so much.” ⁹ But Peter said to her, “Why is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those having buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” ¹⁰ And immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men having come in, found her dead; and having carried her out, they buried her by her husband.

¹² For if the readiness is present, it is acceptable as if he might have, not as he does not have.

¹⁵ which He will display in the own seasons, blessed and alone Sovereign, the King of those being kings, and the Lord of those being lords,

²⁹ For also, our God is a consuming fire.

⁸ But to the cowardly and unbelieving and having become abominable and murderers and the sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their portion is in the lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
