³⁵ so that upon you shall come all the righteous blood being poured out upon the earth, from the blood of the righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

⁵¹ from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the one having perished between the altar and the house. Yes, I say to you, it will be required of this generation.

³⁰ and you say, ‘If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’ ³¹ Thus you bear witness to yourselves that you are sons of those having murdered the prophets. ³² You, then, fill up the measure of your fathers.

⁵² Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those having foretold about the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers,

¹⁸ Having risen up, I will go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; ¹⁹ no longer am I worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your servants.”’ ²⁰ And having risen up, he went to his father. And he still being far distant, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and having run, fell upon his neck and kissed him. ²¹ And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you; no longer am I worthy to be called your son.’ ²² And the father said to his servants, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and clothe him, and give him a ring for his hand and sandals for his feet;

⁸ Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and have purified hearts, you double-minded. ⁹ Be grieved and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and the joy to gloom. ¹⁰ Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

⁸ Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance. ⁹ And do not presume to say within yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as father.’ For I say to you that out of these stones God is able to raise up children unto Abraham. ¹⁰ Already now the ax is applied to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree not producing good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

¹⁹ Repent, therefore, and turn again, for the blotting out of your sins,

⁵¹ You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, also do you. ⁵² Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? ²⁰ but both first to those in Damascus and Jerusalem, and all the region of Judea, and to the Gentiles, I kept declaring to repent and to turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

¹⁵ who having killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and having driven us out, and not pleasing God, are also set against all men, ¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, so as always to fill up their sins. Now the wrath has come upon them to the utmost.

¹⁸ knowing that you were redeemed from your futile manner of life handed down from your fathers, not by perishable things—by silver or by gold—

⁵² Therefore the Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon. Abraham and the prophets died, and You say, ‘If anyone keeps My word, he shall never taste of death, to the age.’

³⁶ For indeed David, having served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was added to his fathers, and saw decay.

²³ And indeed those having become priests are many, because of being prevented from continuing by death. ²⁴ But because of His abiding to the age, He holds the permanent priesthood,

²⁷ And inasmuch as it is apportioned to men to die once, and after this, judgment,

² to be mindful of the words having been spoken beforehand by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, ³ first knowing this, that in the last days scoffers will come with scoffing, following according to their own evil desires, ⁴ and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For from the time that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”

³⁵ The heaven and the earth will pass away, but My words shall not pass away.

⁴ But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that the day should overtake you like a thief.

¹ To the messenger of the church in Ephesus write: These things says the One holding the seven stars in His right hand, walking in the midst of the seven golden lampstands.

⁴ And another horse went forth, bright red; and to the one sitting on it, to him was granted to take the peace from the earth, and that they will slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.

¹⁹ And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, having been gathered together to make war with the One sitting on the horse and with His army. ²⁰ And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet, the one having done the signs before him, by which he deceived those having received the mark of the beast and those worshiping its image. The two were cast living into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the rest were killed with the sword of the One sitting on the horse having gone forth out of his mouth. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

¹³ And one of the elders answered, saying to me, “These having been clothed with the white robes, who are they, and from where have they come?” ¹⁴ And I said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

¹ And one of the seven angels having the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, the one sitting upon many waters, ² with whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and those dwelling on the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her sexual immorality.” ³ And he carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness, and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet beast being full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. ⁴ And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stone and pearls, holding a golden cup in her hand, being full of abominations and the impurity of her sexual immorality. ⁵ And upon her forehead a name was written, a mystery: Babylon the Great, the mother of the prostitutes, and of the abominations of the earth. ⁶ And I saw the woman being drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. And having seen her, I marveled with great wonder. ⁷ And the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast carrying her, having the seven heads and the ten horns.

⁹ And he says to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those having been invited to the supper of the marriage of the Lamb.’” And he says to me, “These are the true words of God.” ¹⁰ And I fell before his feet to worship him. And he says to me, “See that you not do this. I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers, holding the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

⁸ And I, John, am the one hearing and seeing these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel showing these things me. ⁹ And he says to me, “See that you not do this. I am your fellow servant, and with your brothers the prophets, and with those keeping the words of this book. Worship God!” ¹⁰ And he says to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book; for the time is near. ¹¹ The one being unrighteous, let him be unrighteous still; and he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; and he who is righteous, let him practice righteousness still; and he who is holy, let him be holy still.” ¹² “Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each as is his work. ¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” ¹⁴ Blessed are those washing their robes, that their right will be to the tree of life, and they shall enter into the city by the gates. ¹⁵ Outside are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the sexually immoral, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone loving and practicing falsehood. ¹⁶ “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to all of you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.”

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, being sent forth for service for the sake of those being about to inherit salvation?

⁴¹ The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all the stumbling blocks and those practicing lawlessness,

⁴⁹ Thus will it be in the consummation of the age: The angels will go out and will separate the evil from the midst of the righteous,

³⁰ And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. ³¹ And He will send His angels with a great trumpet call, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens to the ends thereof.

³¹ And when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit upon His throne of glory.

³ For when they might say, “Peace and security,” then suddenly destruction comes upon them, as the labor pains to her having in womb; and they shall not escape.

⁷ and to you being oppressed, repose with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with His mighty angels,

¹ The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants what things it behooves to take place in quickness. And He signified it through having sent His angel to His servant, John,

²⁵ wherefore also He is able to save to the uttermost those drawing near to God through Him, always living for to intercede for them.

¹⁰ And they were crying in a loud voice, saying, “Until when, O Lord, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood from those dwelling upon the earth?”

⁶ For the Lord disciplines whom He loves, and He scourges every son whom He receives. ⁷ If you endure discipline, God is treating you as sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?

⁷ So much as she has glorified herself and lived in luxury, give to her as much torment and misery, because in her heart she says, ‘I sit as a queen, and I am never a widow, and never shall I see mourning.’ ⁸ Because of this, her plagues will come in one day, death and misery and famine, and she will be burned up with fire, because mighty is the Lord God, the One having judged her.”

²⁸ For as regards the gospel, they are enemies on account of you; but as regards election, beloved on account of the patriarchs. ²⁹ For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
