²⁵ Because of this I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you should eat or what you should drink; nor your body, what you should put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

²² But I say to you that everyone being angry with his brother will be liable to the judgment, and whoever shall say to his brother ‘Raca,’ will be liable to the Sanhedrin. But whoever shall say, ‘Fool!’ will be liable to the Gehenna of fire. ²³ Therefore, if you shall offer your gift at the altar, and there shall remember that your brother has something against you, ²⁴ leave your gift there before the altar and first go away, be reconciled to your brother; and then having come, offer your gift. ²⁵ Be agreeing quickly with your accuser while you are on the way with him, lest ever the accuser deliver you to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you will be cast into prison. ²⁶ Truly I say to you, you shall not come out from there until you should pay the last kodranten! ²⁷ You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ ²⁸ But I say to you that everyone looking upon a woman in order to lust after her already has committed adultery with her in his heart.

²⁷ And who of you by worrying is able to add one cubit to his stature? ²⁸ And why do you worry about clothing? Consider carefully how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor nor do they spin.

³¹ Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ Or ‘What shall we drink?’ Or ‘What shall we wear?’

³⁴ Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Sufficient to the day is its own trouble.

¹⁹ And when they deliver you up, do not be anxious how or what you should speak; for in that hour you will be given what you should say,

²² And the one having been sown among the thorns, this is the one hearing the word, but the care of this present age and the deceit of riches choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

¹⁴ And that having fallen into the thorns, these are those having heard, and moving along are choked under the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and do not mature.

⁴⁰ But Martha was distracted about much service; and having come up, she said, “Lord, is it not concerning to You that my sister has left me alone to serve? Therefore speak to her, that she might help me!” ⁴¹ And the Lord answering said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things;

⁴ And I say to you, My friends, you should not fear because of those killing the body and after these things not being able to do anything more abundantly. ⁵ But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear the One who has authority, after the killing, to cast into Gehenna. Yes, I say to you, fear Him.

⁸ And I say to you, everyone who will confess in Me before men, the Son of Man also will confess in him before the angels of God. ⁹ And the one having denied Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

¹¹ And when they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not be anxious how or what you shall reply in defense, or what you should say.

²² And He said to His disciples, “Because of this I say to you, do not be anxious for life, what you should eat, nor for your body, what you should put on. ²³ For life is more than food, and the body than clothing. ²⁴ Consider the ravens, that they do not sow, nor reap; to them there is not a storehouse, nor barn—and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than the birds! ²⁵ And which of you, being anxious, is able to add one hour to his lifespan? ²⁶ If, then, you cannot even do the least, why are you anxious about the rest? ²⁷ Consider the lilies, how they grow: They do not labor, nor do they spin. But I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed as one of these. ²⁸ But if God thus clothes the grass in the field, being here today and tomorrow being thrown into the furnace, how much more you, O you of little faith! ²⁹ And you, do not seek what you might eat, and what you might drink, and do not be in suspense; ³⁰ for all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you have need of these. ³¹ But seek you His kingdom, and these things will be added to you.

³² For He who spared not the own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, with Him, grant us all things?

³² And I desire you to be without concern. The unmarried man cares for the things of the Lord, how he should please the Lord;

⁶ Be anxious about nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

⁴ No one serving as a soldier entangles himself in the affairs of this life, that he might please the one having enlisted him.

⁵ Let your manner of life be without covetousness, being satisfied with the present; for He Himself has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.” ⁶ So we are confident to say: “The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid; what shall man do to me?”

⁷ having cast all your anxiety upon Him, because with Him there is care about you.
