¹² All have turned away; together they have become worthless; there is none who is practicing good, there is not so much as one.

³⁰ And cast out the worthless servant, into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

⁸ For by grace you are saved through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, ⁹ not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. ¹⁰ For we are His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

¹² Therefore my beloved, just as always you have obeyed, not only as in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. ¹³ For God is the One working in you both to will and to work according to His good pleasure.

¹³ awaiting the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, ¹⁴ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and might purify to Himself a people specially chosen, zealous of good works.

¹¹ once useless to you, but now useful both to you and to me,

¹⁶ Do not be misled, my beloved brothers. ¹⁷ Every good act of giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of shifting.

²⁵ For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
