1 Corinthians 16:1 Cross References - CAB

¹ Now concerning the collection which is for the saints, as I directed to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also:

¹³ But Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how many wicked things he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem;

⁴¹ And giving to her his hand, he raised her up; and when he called the saints and the widows, he presented her living.

²⁸ And rising up, one of them named Agabus, foretold by the Spirit of a great famine about to happen in all the world, which also came to pass in the time of Claudius Caesar.

³⁰ which they also did, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.

⁶ Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the Galatian region, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit from speaking the word in Asia,

²³ After having spent some time there, he went out, going through in order the Galatian region and the Phrygian region, strengthening all the disciples.

¹⁷ And after many years I arrived to bring alms and offerings to my nation,

¹³ sharing in the needs of the saints, pursuing hospitality.

²⁵ But now I am traveling to Jerusalem ministering to the saints. ²⁶ For Macedonia and Achaia thought it good to make some contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

¹ Now we make known to you brothers, the grace of God which has been given to the churches of Macedonia, ² how that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their generosity. ³ For I bear witness that according to their ability, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing, ⁴ with much appeal, begging us for the grace and the fellowship of the ministry to the saints-- ⁵ and not as we hoped, but they first gave their own selves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God, ⁶ so that we urged Titus, that just as he had begun before, thus he would also finish this grace also in you. ⁷ But as you abound in everything--in faith, in word, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us--see that you abound in this grace also. ⁸ I speak not by a command, but I am testing the genuineness of your love by means of the diligence of others. ⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet on account of you He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

¹² Because the ministry of this service not only is supplying the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, ¹³ while through the approved character of this ministry, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the gospel of Christ, and for the generosity of your sharing toward them and toward all, ¹⁴ and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the surpassing grace of God in you. ¹⁵ Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!

² and all the brothers with me, to the churches of Galatia:

¹⁰ only they desired that we should remember the poor, which indeed I made every effort to do this very thing.

⁵ hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints,

⁷ For we have much thanksgiving and encouragement over your love, because the affections of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

¹⁰ For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

¹⁷ But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother having need, and shuts off his compassion towards him, how does the love of God abide in him?
